    It's technically computer hardware.
My phone won't play sounds at all, and I can't take a screenshot when an app is open because of that BS "DRM protection", it's currently handheld cancer, and it's useless to me at this point, because I can't hear the other person in a phone call. The vibration is... well... broken.

No it was not dropped, only time it was out of the case was to "install" my Sim card.
It was dropped, in shallow water, not enough to get into the phone.

You've probably already checked.. But does the phone think it's got headphones plugged in, when there aren't any? I wouldn't know the fix, but I know a few people who have their phones do that

    Done, several times.

I had an S5, the LCD cracked, and I can't afford one.

It does not. Half the time the port doesn't work.

    Typical Samsung.
    Just get Sony.
That's how I fixed my Samsung.

Sounds like there's something wrong with the audio chip... Repairing it wouldn't be worth it. As to what caused it, well, planned obsolescence :p

If it was the audio chip, why would it also not vibrate?
    I say software issue.

Maybe the vibration not working is a different problem all together?

Maybe you could try to install a custom ROM. That fixed some minor problems in my S4, such as battery drain. LineageOS maybe?

If the iPhone's I've disassembled are any indication, the vibrator motor is a part of the audio and speaker chip, so it could damage to the headphone jack/audio chip.

Occurs because of internal burnout. ROM (flash memory phone), there are many requests to overwrite the data, thereby slowing down the entire system.

It is solved either by disabling the indexer files - or by changing the flash memory of the phone.

Despite what it may have looked like, water definitely got into your phone. The symptoms you are describing are pretty much a perfect match for water damage. Sounds like water short-circuited the audio chip and jammed up the vibration motor. Only fix is to repair it with a new audio chip (and vibration motor if you really need it) or just start saving for a new phone, because this is unfortunately a lost cause :(

A good start to saving up would be to sell your current one, people will always buy technology, even those with problems :)

Honestly, for the price of an s4 today, I doubt any repair would be worth it... Just make some economies and, if you have some time to spare and like making some electronic, just buy you another perfectly working s4 and you'll have some bonus repair parts and the possibility to combinate parts of the two phones to make the best s4 possible... Otherwise, just buy another phone form another brand, I highly suggest you to try nexus devices for their high fluidity over the time and to really avoid samsung devices... Since the failure of the s5, their phones are really not designed to live any longer than the warranty period (just check the galaxy note 4 forum on xda developers and you'll see how post-s5 devices are undurable, they all die of a memory failure, impacts goes from intempestive freezes, reboots etc. to complete eMMc failure and dead of the phone)...
