This is a work in progress, this is also my first mod. It is a hatchback partly based off of the renault 4. It is unlikely to be finished quickly and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. To make sure that people get something they want, please make suggestions in the comments. This mod is no longer being worked on, its not great but please enjoy what it is and I hope to see you soon with my improved skills in future projects
Darn, I have just realised that this isn't in the land section, does anyone know how to move this page?
I'd like to see all of the versions. Maybe you can set them as different bodies in the body tab in the car editor?
So... Do you have ANY experience related to Blender? Or are you a "freshman"? It would suck to see this thing not be finished, even if it would take a year to complete it...
I have experience in blender, however i have never made a beamng mod before, hence asking for any suggestions
You just need to keep a consistent polyflow for cars in BeamNG & space out the quads evenly... But for jbeam (deformation skeleton) you'll need to ask around the forum, since I have no idea how to do it
Did you set proper beam strenghts? Also it looks wayy to basic for a vehicle. I suggest making it piece by piece instead of progressing the whole jbeam at once. Start with the floor of the car. (It should be able to just about not collapse under it's own weight without the roof. Then add the roof, and proceed to suspension. Also, making at least a rough blender model should be helpfull as you could easilly test if it will spike or not.
I am currently reworking the Jbeam now anyway, that image is purely the 1st test model. --- Post updated --- I'm awaiting the poll results before starting work on the full model
