Suprised no one cares about this: "Fischer expects that it can be completed this year or next." How could BeamNG be possibly finished this year?
I did wrote here: https://beamng.com/threads/update-speculation-thread.20246/page-467#post-805818 Year or two, maybe they have lot of things completed already that just are not brought to game yet and it can be closer to two years?
I'm sure it will be a new brand or a Gavril subsidy, we could use a new brand. As for the stuff about expecting the game to be completed somewhat soon and the company wanting to focus more on tech instead of gaming... Not much we can do but see what happens.
Wait, what? @tdev, is this referring to the full game being completed, or is this a bizarre result of using google translate? It just seems ... fast. I mean, there's still career mode to add, at least half-a-dozen vehicle archetypes left unfulfilled, the Italy map... And then there's the "regular updates" thing. That could be read as "...following the release of the full version, regular updates will keep players engaged", or "...regular updates should keep the players happy until the full version is released."
Maybe they'll be finished with the game in general and either spend more time with families or work on something different...who knows. Plus, the game is already taking a huge turn (no pun intended) anyways.
That would be true for a vehicle with high ground clearance and really stiff suspension with nearly no overhangs like the T-Series, which did flex a lot, and to make it fly like this I had to reach speeds of about 65-70MPH, which combined with softer bus suspension and large front overhang with not much in the way of ground clearance it should have damaged the bumper at least a little bit. --- Post updated --- In fact at 70MPH even the T-Series scrapes the front bumper in this spot:
I think by "finish the game" they meant "finished physics and game engine features". When its done there are more time to make content e.g campaigns, career mode, maps, vehicles, parts and more.
Bump stops would not help that much, In fact if it would hit bump stop, it would mean that the front would loose all of it's dampening which would lead to some of the glass breaking, as well as some frame damage. It is a hard hit, as even without any load it has managed to bend the T-Series's frame during that hit hard enough to make the cab touch the cargo box during the jump. In case of a bus it would definitely cause some damage, as in case of the bus frame is quite a bit weaker, and the body itself helps with the structural integrity which would mean that a lot of force would have to be transferred threw the roof and the sides of the bus itself.
The bus was first revealed in the Micro Blogs. Tdev posted a screenshot of a view from the interior. The first external shot was released in Development Sneak Peek #4 in the Devblog. BTW, can I go ahead and make a wiki page for the bus? I've only contributed one thing to the wiki so far.
I'd wait till we're going to have the full name of the bus and some more information about it. Right now you could literally write: It's a bus. It's big. On one of the configs it is white. It has wheels. It has beam axle front suspension and air suspension on the back.
Couldn't it be written similarly to pages like the Bluebucks? Also, Italy's page on the wiki doesn't have a lot of information. Okay, there's absolutely no way they'd call it that.
Nope. And the filename for the image was actually "weserreport.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Wirtschaft_BeamNG_4sp_4C". I don't know where "rocket" came from. Not yet. We were able to make a page for the Bluebuck because we knew it was the Gavril Bluebuck. There was enough info to name the page and place it in the correct area under "Gavril". In this case, we have screenshots, but not enough concrete info to put up a page. Heck, I don't even know if we could use a placeholder name - I'm not sure if the wiki allows pages to be re-named.
I think it is saying regular updates have kept us happy so far, and completion of the game will stop those regular updates. We need to realize just how close completion is. All the art for the campaign is probably done by now, and we know they have the system in place to run the campaign as seen in the first chapter they have released. They just need to put the things together, there would be no need for new game systems or overhauls. Italy is probably very close to release. If not this update, then we will get it in the next. Though I have been wrong on that in the past. We have more than enough vehicles to run a campaign with, though more would be nice. All of the promised vehicles would probably be free updates, while more anything extra may be paid DLC. I for one would be happy if they added that, as I would like to further support the development of the game financially.
Copy address of image from this post and you see it is Rocket, this was many many pages ago though, so you probably have missed it. https://www.beamng.com/threads/micro-blog-s-2018.51722/#post-800528
Very well then. Can I at least ask to be the one to make the page when more information does comes out?
Hi guys, hope this speculation thread is nice for my consideration: I'd like to see for every rim size a full list of compatible tires, as in real life. Do you think this will ever happen? There are some technical problems related?
