Didn't expect the devs to make an large vehicle for beam so this was an pleasant surprise. For every new vehicle i always wonder what mods people are gonna make for it? Inb4 drag bus
I think that they would need to sell more copies, but as game still is alpha and beta in 1-2 years, there is hopefully sales boost when it becomes full version. That is busy times ahead for the dev team though. Update: Their yearly costs can't be much less than 3 million and with only 15 million gross income for 6 years or so, they need to have also some income from investments. They would need to sell much more than 120 000 copies each year currently to get all income to cover running costs from game sales. Of course they did have less people working on game at early years and probably not all 36 are full time, so that is why I figure 3 million a year might be their running costs. Money from investors and game sales so far carries of course to future and with more refined product and more media coverage sales do boost, but game business is not a gold mine. With price increase after reaching full version, maybe income increases a bit, but more media coverage and new business opportunities is definitely going to be good choice to keep company growing.
My question of how many wheels it will have has been answered. The bus looks great. The article was interesting too. But even now, the BB has not escaped my mind. I really wish one of the staff would at least say something about it. We know that the bus is coming along quite nicely judging by the provided pictures, but there hasn't been anything about the Bluebuck, and Gabester hasn't done an update about his condition. They're probably going to add one. I think I can say that they know what the users want.
according to the article and without google translation, Audi and Beamng drive are working together for self driving car... Thomas Fischer in the article says that they see us less in gamesindustrie in the future.
Thomas Tdev Fischer. Yeah, that is definitely good plan, because there is better chances to keep company afloat on those areas and as software really has the potential to be successful there I can very well see that is good choice.
Any word on a name for the bus? Will it use a brand already in game (like Gavril) or will it use something completely new?
It seems like the bus isn't quite finished, or the US buses don't have front numberplates... Also, it is quite weird that nothing seems damaged, but the bus is clearly fying after hitting a jump at at least 45 MPH --- Post updated --- Or 35 mph... Anyways, I'd expect at least bend front bumper, as the overhang is quite big.
Looks like a new brand. I can't tell quite what yet, but it's too long to be Gavril or Ibishu, doesn't appear to be Bruckell or Burnside (the latter especially doesn't make sense), and appears to start with "M". The mystery continues... --- Post updated --- That's a side effect of the way it jumped - the lead-in to those intersections is gentle enough to keep vehicles from bottoming out.
