For some reason the first update file did not zip correctly. I re-uploaded the file and changed the version back. So 8.0 is the correct version now.
I recommend you guys to try these steps in order to make it work (version 8.0, the latest), one by one. - Unpack the mod from the mod manager ingame. - Disable other mods. - Delete catche manually (you can find it from the game's User folder, default location is on the C:\Users\*your login profile*\Files\BeamNG.drive). Delete the catche folders from there. - Reinstall the whole game (don't forget to backup your mods-folder if you wanna save them! You can find that folder from the User-folder as well.)
Hey it seems to be working well now, but i have encountered one small issue... the beater covet spawns without an engine now.
Good that you reported about this, some of the parts of the main game were updated with the previous main game update, so we need to rework the configs for the next mod update.
Only reason I play this game is because of this mod...905 hours played 99% on this mod. Couple weeks ago my vehicle starts spawning as a pylon. Can't play anymore. I've reinstalled everything. Still a pylon. There is a ton of potential with this mod. Especially if they add heats and feature heats (If you place first/second use your smashed up car for a finale with more pre-derby'd vehicles) Almost like a career mode. Maybe a paint booth to custom paint your derby car. I'd love to see them add a wagon to smash in the derby. Hopefully this pylon issue gets sorted out soon 10/10 otherwise.
Did you download and install the 8.0 update? That update fixed the player spawning as a traffic cone.
This mod is awesome! Id like to see larger oval or figure 8 tracks though, go full out Wreckfest on the AI asses
While watching demolition derbies on youtube, i got a great idea that would really improve this mod a lot. I've noticed that in all real life demolition derbies, they attach a stick to the drivers side door to signal whether the car is still in the competition. i don't suppose it would be extremely hard to model a stick and jbeam it so it breaks off when the car is called out. it would really help to avoid smashing up a car that has already been called out.
A long awaited update. Works great, i edit the derby grass to be mud and add a dirt wall around it, works wonders.
That's badass! --- Post updated --- That was meant to be more involved. That is a badass track! Anyway we could get that one in instead of the current grass one? Is it a bit more level surface?
How's the grip over there, are the cars moving like in a snail's pace like they do in the game's own mud areas ? One thing is sure: if we would include that on the mod, we would propably need to rework the car configs to suit more with that surface. Higher, narrow tyres and higher suspension.
would have to edit the derby track and essentially make a new map. the grip isnt to bad depending on the tires. i leveled it out.
Is there a way to make the mud less deep? Looks to me like all the cars sink right past the sidewall of the tire straight to the rim... That's really deep even for a derby track lol. That's like 4 inches of rain the morning before the derby wet.
