The differential in that one was tampered with so it rolled easily. It made the show more entertaining.

Funny enough in that video they added weight on the side of the robin to make it easier to roll :|

Still, who wants an car with three wheels? I'm sure they killed off this trend, which is an relief.

Think about it. The car wouldn't have been so popular if it was impossible to drive. I quite like them tbh, they're interesting.

Well, that's as an good as an motorcycle. You buy it, better take the risks of trying to handle the vehicle properly, otherwise your car will drop.
Plus, I don't even know why Reliant revived the Robin 3 times. I don't see much of demand for it.

I would drive one. And my grandma has a 3-wheeled Messershmitt, they are really cool. (also, the are registered as 'motorcycles' here)

They sold extremely well because the working class over here couldn't afford a drivers license and a car, so instead they'd get a motorcycle license and a Reliant Robin.

I'd personally won't. Plus, I'm 100% sure it can barely handle an crash from an vehicle.

Motorcycle which can transport stuff and the driver has protection from weather. I think that is actually pretty handy

wasn't really a concern back then. People didn't care for safety.

It is from 50s so duh it will lose to a modern car in a crash. What did you expect?

Then, seeing how much times the car was in production, it should've started becoming an concern.

We still have 3-wheelers in Italy, in the form of the Piaggio Ape.

It's simply too slow to flip... ;)

Even an Sera could probably resist a bit better than an Robin. Also, it wasn't JUST an 50s car. Just look at the video I posted. That was an newer Robin, somewhere around the 70s-90s.

    Weird...
What is the rev limit for this vehicle?

Its not all about how strong a car is. Crumple zones etc are a factor. The more I talk about the reliant robin the more I sort of want one.

I know, but I mean the model they altered. That was an real model, from the 80s-90s if I remember correctly.
There's already concerns on motorcycles nowadays. Also, safety would've been an priority by that time. Crash tests have been around for long enough that Reliant should have atleast noticed about them.
