I would recommend doing a video instruction for those who need help. I use a different reshade but I'm thinking of using another. This one is nice though.
A instructions vid is a good idea. Seems to come up all the time as a problem and weve all had a bunch of problems getting Reshade running. Itll take a while though, going out of town for a few days. Going to be intresting to see if i get it running again afterwards since after 0.12 some seem to have alot more problems with Reshade About progress, done alot of changes back and forth but nothing im happy enough with yet to release. Latest screens in the Community screenshot thread would be the one to look at : https://beamng.com/threads/communit...ge-of-beamng-drive.1141/page-2970#post-836760 Im looking at Forza 7 and Gran Turismo Sport to get a similar, realistic, look but somewhat a mix of those along with some eye-candy bloomishnesss. Problem there is that they, along with GTA V, does so much more with map/track lighting settings so getting something to look good throughout the TimeOfDay is hard.
Been alot irl lately, taking care of the house, the pregnant lady, the fun car and so on but ive managed to compose another preset, this time using the recently released Reshade 3.3.2, looks like this atm
This isn't BeamNG...this is that one GTA6 Early Gameplay videos... Seriously it looks so freaking good!
Thanks guys Ill do some more testing and then ill release it, instead of just letting time pass by lol
Well since i wont get much more time to work on this right now i might aswell release it as is Its not been changed (not that i can remember) since the last screenshots 3 posts up so ill post them again to be clear what this should look like. ALSO, i used my own lighting settings for WCUSA so yours might look different due to that. It uses Reshade 3.3.2, included in this post, but i dont know if itll work with earlier releases. I simply removed everything that had to do with reshade from the Beamng/Bin64 folder, including my old Test.ini. The new one has the name... New One.ini so remember to select that preset when you install 3.3.2. Install Reshade 3.3.2 as per the first post in this thread. Here you go, tell me what you think; what needs added, gone or leave as is since its awesome and all that
I think so.. the depth is somehow different in Utah than in the other maps which can be seen on Resahdes MXAO and DOF. The MXAO is more concentrated/has less radius in that map and i actully use it [MXAO] to create a shaded effect on the cars in the other maps, like a baked AO effect. Would be easier to see in say WCUSA Edit: Are you using a older version of Reshade?
Nope,I'm using the new one (the one attached). I was confused on why the shadows are not black enough just like your picture
Better but something looks off. Ive had problems (lately) with the ingame PostFx keep enabling itself so that ive had to disable it/uncheck the box in the PostFx window, is yours disabled? It looks like your MXAO is still to close to the car imo. Could also be that im using a a post processor setting in Reshade itself (under the Settings tab), that needs to be changed, ill check what settings i run when i get back.
I run these preprocessor definitions RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION_FAR_PLANE=1000.0 RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_UPSIDE_DOWN=0 RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED=1 RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_LOGARITHMIC=0 MXAO_MIPLEVEL_AO=0 MXAO_MIPLEVEL_IL=0 MXAO_ENABLE_IL=0 MXAO_ENABLE_BACKFACE=0
