Minor issue, when I put 3-spd auto transmission in, it likes to stall for me, but that just means I'm not having loud pedal enough deep.
Its awesome man well done, its a pity you cant do a 6 wheel drive version of this brute and have a clutch pack that will take the violence from that monster V12 engine that lurked under that big bonnet!
Yo man I love it, but I think it still needs some work (everything so far is fun as hell) (Yes yes I see ti's WIP these are just my suggestions) I would like to see the following added/tweaked - 1st gear that can be used while driving under 30 km/h or a clutch that has some "range" to it (0% is neutral while 1% feels like 90% power is on the wheels and it gets burned instantly ) I mean like it's really hard to make the car move without stalling or doing a burnout - Adding customisable transmition ratios and/or customisable torque converter could sovle the one above too - Tweaking the fuel consumption - It is really hard to break the engine in collusion (Screenshot - engine still works LOOOOOOOOOOL, gotta love it) And I really love it BTW hope to see more cars fitted with this, sth rear/mid engine with 4 wheels in the back (4 real wheel drive xD) and 2 in the front would be a dream
Wait, does anyone notice that it pulls to the right? No I didn't damage the car, it just pulls to the right, what could be causing that?
This is awesome!!!! However, I noticed that the mass of the car increases as I fire the guns. Also, my frame rate takes a massive hit. Is this due to a game engine limitation?
it's due to the game and the mod being realistic that huge (aircraft) engine tend to push the car in the direction the engine turn, this "torque effect" is even more visible if you add a propeller and wings : the frame twist a little bit due to the amount of torque, then as the alignment went wrong the car turn a small bit to the right, adding rigidity to the frame could prevent that, but it's less fun, isn't it ?
@synsol I think this car needs a very very special clutch that can take the abuse because its got so much torque it simply melts the clutch inside of a few minutes is there any way to make an "overpowered" clutch that can cope with this engine?
I wouldn't imagine there'd be a clutch in real life to handle just above 1,000 HP and a whole much more torque from a 27L WW2 aircraft engine
Yeah its called a Torque converter but the rear end overtaking the front end is still there but its been stalled out for now, but that clutch needs work done to it, I wish there was a way of making a triple or a quad plate clutch pack for the game that could handle cars with more power than this, its not the horsepower figure that makes this exciting, its the torque figure think of this big petrol powered vehicle like a really really big diesel engine, it has way more torque than horsepower....
Torque converter through to clutch? Those are two different things. A torque converter is for an automatic and a clutch is obvious. As I've previously stated, there is no clutch to do the job :\
Well yeah, quite honest there is no transmission in the entire game as of yet that can handle this engine, the failure will be with the gearbox until the devs put in something a lot beefier!
If you're willing to go in depths of unrealisticality (which isn't a word) then go ahead, make a gearbox that suits it! lol
Can you elaborate on these claims? There is nothing preventing anyone from making a car with 6 driven wheels... I also don't understand why you say that the clutch can't handle this? Same for the gearbox? Works fine here?
Weird , for me the mass decrease (around 200kg) when firing all ammo : Video - Click to Play - Direct Link
Its under full engine load when you get off the line if you want to do a heavy acceleration the clutch overheats and begins to destroy itself, I am wondering if its the monster engine thats handling this, as for the 6WD system thats easy to put into the game just need to add the diffs in from the T-series for that, but yeah it was something I noticed nothing really to worry about, but when you start messing with Aero engines you need clutches in the game that can take the abuse of them without overheating
You do realize that when you do that, you are asking the clutch to eat all the torque the engine outputs? Every single Nm. Nothing can handle that... You don't do that kind of stuff with manuals... With autos, maybe but with a clutch this is not a thing you can do and expect the car to live...
haha yeah I realise that now, thats why the car known as "The Beast" which is a car with a Rolls Royce Meteor engine, that means if you add the supercharger to it it becomes the Merlin without its a Meteor, has a General Motors TH400 Automatic gearbox in it, I dont think the clutch is needed for a vehicle of this size and power, it needs to be automatic
