I have two requests. Being able to run the engine without the supercharger and having a half boost supercharger. Great job, really fun mod.
Why does the Engine produce so little Power for the given Boost Pressures? A Naturally Aspirated Merlin, used in Tanks and called Meteor, would produce 850hp at 3000rpm. In Service it did 600hp at 2400rpm. The Merlin II in the Spit Mk.I produced 1030hp with 0.4 bar The Merlin 55M in the LF Mk.Vc produced 1585hp with 1.24 bar The Merlin 66 was able to produce 2000hp with 1.72bar of Boost Your Merlin should produce around 3000 to 3500hp with 3 bars of Boost.
great mod and by the way i have a sugestion aboud a open top hood were both valve cover stiks trough can you make one that would be asome and could you make a standalone gun mod for the mg´s roof or hood mountet like in interstate 76 or so ?
This is just an awesome mod. There are however a couple niggles I'd like to point out. The clutch overheats all the time as standard (though it can be fixed via a higher 1st gear / final drive ratio or just using an auto box) The bullets from the gun need fixing somehow. Everything runs great even with the guns equipped, but then I empty all the rounds and then I'm getting 10fps. (also, waiting on approval from RR to use their text? lel good luck. Someone did this in real life, built a custom car around a merlin, and then Rolls Royce got mad at him just for putting their badge on the front of it.)
Oh my god, I saw this, and this looks so familiar, well, except for the blue camo. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/new...ter-pilots-in-wwii/ar-AAyHbJo?ocid=spartandhp
I absolutely love the mod... but there's some problem with the gun. It gets really laggy when you use them, and it also gives me "instability detected" error often when I'm shooting at other cars.
Really nice mod. I do have some suggestions tho: 1. Tuning parts -higher RPM -more boost -more durable clutch 2. Make versions for the other cars too.
you are full of great ideas that i like. OT: when i used it in my grandpa's computer, i didn't know it sounded like a airplane.
It sounds like an aircraft for a reason. The engine is a V12 Rolls-Royce Merlin, which was used in WWII aircrafts like the Avro Lancaster and the Supermarine Spitfire, which the latter is what the Firehawk is based on.
only issue is that the sound from about 2500RPM onwards sounds like a plane on takeoff, yes it's a plane engine, but no it isn't driving a massive propeller which you can hear quite clear at 3000RPM
It's almost like it uses an airplane engine. If only someone had said that earlier in the thread, which you definitely read before posting
I mean if you want to find a usable audio sample to replace what is being used I am sure there will be no objections.
crazy fun! only few things i could suggest but have all been mentioned before. Maybe an auto trans option as "normal" driving stop start often overheats the clutch. and also said before, maybe modify the sound or max RPM a bit. limited to 3K, but if you over rev to around 3500-38 00it sounds (to me) more like a big engine at max revs. maybe 3K is the realistic value for the V12 in real life, but 3500 to me seems possible and front brakes lock up easily. ABS maybe? EDIT: As also stated before, 6 wheels drive would also be very cool
