Released "LookAhead" Interior Camera 2.5

Hey! The mod is currently not working for me, the version of my game is 0.12 (latest}. Can you help me troubleshoot? I have the G29 wheel setup. I've tried all the troubleshooting that I know of (reinstalling the mod, ctrl+L after installation and activated only the mod itself in game to see if it was conflicted) The app works (just thought my sensitivity was set to 0) but when i turn my wheel it just doesn't look ahead. Love the idea of this mod. Thank you.

Edit: only works with keyboard, just found out. i really hope there will be wheel support for it.

Works great with keyboard, i have not tried it with a controller. It just doesn't seem to work with my G29.

 

Hm with my G29 it works just fine. Could you make a video of the hardeware section under the controls?

 

It is now fixed for me. it works with my g29 after reinstalling it for the third time. I'm not sure what was going on, it's probably my computer. Thank you very much for replying and creating this awesome mod. I will enjoy the bus routes 100x better.

I have a suggestion maybe, would it be possible to adjust the camera around? For example sometimes I like to use the "Relevant" camera and put it on the roof, but I can't look back with that for some reason which sucks, it'd be really awesome if your mod had the ability to move the camera up and down outside of the car as well!

 

Bug report:

Hmm, could you make a video or some screenshots, please? I can´t reproduce it.

 

The one with the legran is a left hand drive, and the one with the R35 is a right hand drive.

 

@LentrioxV2 can you send me a link to the R35 mod? Then I can test it at my side.

 

It's not just with the R35 though, just any right hand drive car.

 

This are all right hand cars that I have. And for all of them it works, if the vehicle is a valid right hand car for the engine. The Prasu for example does not work, because the modder left out one important line in the code.
Here is the code from the Z Coupe (miramar_body.jbeam):

As you can see the line {"rightHandCamera":true} is missing and therefore it does not work my mod properly. Ask the modder if he could add the line to the code. If you find any other car that does not work, look in the code and check if this line is present in the "camerasInternal"-section.

 

I'll try a different right hand drive car then, but another thing is I can only move the camera in two positions.

Could you possibly expand support to include the new Automation exporter vehicles? Because these cars do not have an interior camera, only an external view and 2 hood views, when you change to the LookAhead camera, it doesn't work and instead throws errors in the console (For obvious reason because it can't find the camera node.)

Idk if this is possible or not, but since this mod just uses the position of the interior camera, I'd assume you'd just tell it to check for one camera or the other.

If you could possibly look into that it'd be a great addition to this already wonderful mod.
