Can't help but not notice that the reflections seem a bit sub-par on the automation cars in BeamNG... Especially on the lights and other chrome pieces, is Dynamic Reflections turned off in the video? Is there a reason for that. Also, can we download the cars that were in that youtube video, that Dominion looks lovely
Yeah dynamic reflections is off in some shots (notably the last shot will all the cars lined up) but most if not all the cars at the end have full dynamic reflections during the video.
Yeah, reflections were turned off on purpose. The garage material do not cope well with them (If you try to look at another car through the reflections, you'll see the same happening in the garage). There are no such things as sub-part dynamic reflections, it's the same.
Probably been answered before but could we make the same car with different configs? (safety stuff, engines etc)
BeamNG does dynamic reflections for ONE vehicle, if you have more than one in a shot, then it looks bit sub-par with others without dynamic reflections and visual appearance is better with reflections off. Reason why there is reflections only to one car is that there is no hardware on this planet to render reflections to all cars.
I do apologize if it's been asked and answered but....will there be a option to just transfer over engines? I'd love to make old school muscle car engines and new ones as well to import into beam for all my hooning needs!
Seen somewhere that you will be able to pull out the engine jbeam from the car you make & adapt it for the car you want
It would basically be the same process as ripping an engine out of any of the other standard vehicles and putting them in another one. Not too difficult at all.
I see no Mr Bean on it. On topic, I still haven't been answered, will the custom wheels on the Automation-ported cars be able to be used on other cars?
If you yourself port them to other cars, they will work with other cars, just like the engines... otherwise they would only be for that vehicle.
