dosent work on high stall ones

 

The high stall ones don't lock.

They are non-locking converter.

 

So I don't wanna be a noob or anything, but can somone explain me what this feature exactly does and what it does for performance? And when to use it etc.

 

I know it applies to official vehicles. The reason I was asking about the "additional modifications" section is because there are some mods that use real slush box transmissions. The oldfullsize series and the CRD monster truck for example. I would love to lock their torque converters.

Can't get it to unlock in 3rd and 4th.

 

Torque converters can slip to multiply torque, such as when taking off it slips. But when cruising you will want it to lock up as this stops it slipping so less fuel is used (less RPM). But for better acceleration you could unlock the torque converter for those extra RPMs (from slipping)

 

Sure, I’ll see if I can come up with something for mod based vehicles.

 

I can't seem to apply the hotkey. It stays blank.

Also, I added a locking torque converter to the moonhawk, using the official engine and trans, and it won't do anything either.

 

I’ll follow jbeam parameters so if it’s defined by default to lockup in 3rd and up.

The mod won’t unlock the TCC in those gears if already locked up.

 

Pretty neat mod! Is this something like the 'Overdrive' switch seen in most Automatic cars?

 

that would be a 4th gear lockout, as top gear is overdrive on transmissions. I would like to see that feature in the real game tbh (like ive seen on Fords that have D5 and D4, with D5 being OD on and D4 being OD off

You could just label this as "torque converter force lockup" to get rid of all the confusion. As that is all it does, forces a lockup.

I know this is a bump, but I can't get this mod to work anymore, I think it's outdated

 

Same here, quite disappointed.

 

Works, just fine here.

What are you trying to use it on? it only works on official vehicles and select older mods.

 

Tried it on the stock d-series and other But I get no messages on the top left and nothing about the vehicle behavior changes either
