I have an odd penchant for somewhat unloved looking motors. I build a semi tramp looking Pessima sometime ago using a basic skin. I've decided to take it to the next level with selectable colours and more detail: An attempt at some lacquer peel has been made on the roof and trunk, I'm thinking I'll re-do this. I'm happy with the selection of coloured panels and the two tone panels, just need to add some more patina to make it a bit more believable
Doesn't look like much, but I've re-done the lacquer on the trunk and the rust on the fender Added some soot to the exhaust, though I think this could do with being darker Finally added some flaking paint on the bumper and rust trails from stone chips on the leading edges of the hood and roof Need to find a good way to add road grime now and possibly some bumper stickers or similar and I can move onto the next car
And the first skin is complete! I'd like to work out why the underlying skin texture is so faded (red graphics on the door for example) and not as opaque as I'd like, and for some reason having the mod running on spawn seems to cause the game to misplace the non-body textures. Disabling the mod, reloading from disc then activating the mod seems to fix it though :/ Less talk, more picture: Moving onto the next vehicles, I don't know if I should follow a similar pattern (primer rear arch, replaced hood, quarter and door) or if each car should have its own 'story' to tell?
Following a partial T-Bone on the rear of this Pessima, New door, trunk and rear bumper had to be sourced, yet to wipe the marker off the bumper and bootlid, and the rear quarter needs another coat of paint after sanding.
Some lacquer peel and the door off a taxi to finish this one off. Covet next. Any feedback appreciated
Spent far too long getting the UV map right to prevent blending issues with the fender rust Next challenge is finding some realistic looking moss to sit on the panels
Managed to get the moss to look right on the paint, problem now is getting the spread looking right, the cutoffs I've made around the hood and doors seem too harsh and not very realistic
Covet now complete. Still only one colour, undecided if I want to add a second colour choice (body panels or just two-tone) Onto the I-series
bro this looks great! could you make beater skins for all vehicles or the skins that give he panels different textures?
Well you've seen how long it's taken to get three done current plan is to get the I series and Miramar completed then I'll release to the repo. I'll start adding to that as updates when I put new vehicles in the pack.
No, just some google pics, i have a friend tho who has a similiar condition bmw 525 he is fixing up, i just didnt have good pictures of it.
The missing paint on the hood of that E30 inspired me to go for a burnt out look on this one. I think some soot on the un-affected areas is all this one really needs. perhaps two tone the lower half?
I want to add some drip marks where the mirrors would have melted, but otherwise I am pretty happy with how this one has turned out. Miramar next, then final details and onto release
rust is lighter than carbon fibre ! love what your doing i am going to be cheeky here and ask if you would like to go in together...... more paints one pack the steel wheels are also skinned by me
Sorry its been a while, only just got round to starting work on the Miramar. I'm trying to make the splitter and spoiler work with colour 3 but it doesn't appear to be playing ball. Not sure if the UV maps are off but I can't seem to get it to work. Perhaps an issue in my materials.cs file?
