A big epidemic I'm seeing in mod developers is asking not to rate a mod poorly, and threatening to report rates if you don't like them. If you can't take criticism, don't post your work to the mod page. This isn't kindergarten, it's time to be big boys, and not whine, scream, and throw hissy fits because you don't like that someone had the gall to rate your precious, precious mod ONLY three stars.
Reviews are a person's opinion on your work. Asking them to hide it in the discussion tab means that you don't have to deal with real criticism and don't end up working out any issues because criticism is not publicly visible. When someone leaves a review, it allows others to gauge whether or not they want to download your mod, and if your mod is bad, it will get bad reviews. Bad reviews cause you to work out the mod's issues. Having a bad mod and no bad reviews breaks this cycle because you never feel the motivation to fix it because nobody calls you out on it where it hurts the most - the rating. The discussion tab is for discussing the mod, nothing more. If something is broken, it is people's right to leave a bad review because YOU HAVE UPLOADED A POOR QUALITY, OR NON-WORKING MOD.
