    Older kei trucks do use 4-speed manual. New trucks usually use 5-speed manual. Or 3/4-Speed automatic. The truck in the below picture is CMC...

    They usually use 4-speed auto gearbox for these kei-trucks. CVTs are not as reliable as traditional gearboxes
