You guys made some UI improvements in the new update, I know, but before you put it out in the coming weeks I want to throw out some ideas with an emphasis on making the game more easily playable. I get that we're still in "early alpha mode", but if you're working on the UI might as well go a step further. Presentation is still important. I have friends that are turned off by the not-so-intuitive-and-easy controls.

First, the main menu could use more options. Seeing as the race update is coming, and there will be pre-set tracks to be timed on, there should be 2 modes: Race, and Free Roam. Behind each mode select you pick your track or map respectively, then the car you wish to be spawned in.

There could possibly be a car showcase as well that lets you change parts, color, set up presets, without having to enter the map and use the parts editor.

Now in game, I think more options should be put in the escape menu. Parts selector, reset, options, change car, whateves you feel goes there. all the options being behind hotkeys is great for testing, but buttons don't seem particularly difficult to add, so I don't see why they have to be anymore.

I thought this list would be longer but I ran out if ideas. Anyway, can't wait for the update. I can see it ushering in new people and I'm just throwing ideas out to make is easier for newcomers to get sucked into the experience. Any other ideas you have, share em. Lets get a conversation going.

Actually, the developers have worked their asses off in the past 8 months. The whole game has been re-built. So I bet the menu and everything would look alot different. We'll see.

I wasnt trying to marginalize the work thats gone into the race update. I notices that i havent seen any mention of changes to the main menu. This post is just a reminder to them that it could use a little facelift to be more uaeful. Its the first thing people see when the game pops up so its kind of important.

Well, it is kinda normal that you don't see any changes because the lastest game version is 8 months old. In the meantime, the devs have worked on a complete rebuild of the entire game. So when the game gets updated in a few weeks, you'll see.
