NoDakSmack updated The Realistic Derby Project - Demolition Derby Mod with a new update entry: Crown Vic Limited Weld Update & Hotfix Read the rest of this update entry...
Weird problem, the new limited weld presets have no reverse for me while using automatic, but do with manual
That is pretty weird. Is it JUST the new presets? Try clearing out your presets in Documents > BeamNG.drive > vehicles > rdpvic.
I'm having a new issue when loading in the derby. It seems to get stuck in a bird's eye view of the derby, and switching camera angles does absolutely nothing. This has been an issue since the last patch you added.
From the bugs section "BUGS - The big thing is that until Fairgrounds gets updated, these cars won't spawn into fairgrounds, but we're working together to get that done. Until then, the workaround is to spawn a stock or limited class, pause after the cars spawn, and switch the cars to Vics. If the CPU cars don't move, try toggling pause (J) a few times to reset it." If you're still getting issues, you need to clean up outdated presets. Go into your files. Documents > BeamNG.drive > vehicles > and you can either delete ALL these folders (this will delete all your custom presets) or you can go through these folders and delete only the RDP presets if you'd like.
A new patch won't fix your problem, I get a dozen of these messages a week,it's always either wrong settings or something on your end, usually presets. When you enter fairgrounds, are you using "All Mods"? I don't think that's working at the moment. What class are you trying to spawn, it looks like most of the vehicles are spawning in correctly
-9 Vehicles -Large Cars -RDP NoDakSmack -Normal Config -All Config Groups -Usually play the moonhawk -Concrete Area
been having this problem with the limited weld vics, any ideas what it could be ? --- Post updated --- never mind i cleared my cache and now it works ! looks amazing ! love this fuckin mod
Anybody else having issues with the limited weld Burnside spawning in with broken steering? Seems to be the only car having that issue. It even happens when the AI use it too. I've cleared my cache and that didn't seem to do anything.
Someone else had this problem, I think they fixed it by going into Documents > BeamNG > Vehicles > and delete the Normal Config_vehicles folder. These are like a backup or something of presets for fairgrounds, but I updated the burnside front suspension recently so they are outdated
Had a play around with the derby mods by doing actual demolition derbies, not bad at all really it seems to be good fun! Would you be able to do an old skool style derby build without the lifted suspension kits? I remember watching Louis Theroux doing a demolition derby and his car was much more simple than the ones in this mod, but not quite your standard beamng vanilla options. It had chains holding panels down tightly and was on standard suspension.
Did you scrap the caddy project? I remember you were working on one before the bluebuck update dropped. When you release the weld class, I would love to junk some stuff with one lol feedback: The average derby plays much better with the last update. Dropping the barstow and beefing up the burnside feels pretty good. The only issue which I'm sure you are aware about, are the front tires flipping inside out when the steering breaks. And of course jbeams sticking to each other(mostly tires to...everything), but that ones a game problem. I have a vic that's just sitting in the garage but our season isn't looking so great. Your mod has definitely been keeping the itch to wreck something tolerable, keep up the good work
The caddy is still on the list but right now I’m prioritizing cars that me and my closest testers have a lot of experience with and non of us really run caddies. After how realistic I feel the vic turned out I’d be disappointed in anything less. I spent ALL of the past 2 days messing with front suspension on the vic and trying to minimize stuff getting stuck together, and I think I’ve improved it by like 80%. You’ll still get stuck once in a while but I think it’s a big improvement
