I had it too. After a second load it worked. Try clear cache.

Thanks for letting me know. I don't know WHY it's giving trouble, could likely be a game-bug. It seems to fire up just fine here with cleared cache and no trace of the original levels folder - just the zip, like a new installation.
@KiloHotel Don't know why it's busted, but you can bet that I will talk to the staff about it. DONE.
Thanks to both of you for reporting this. I'll try and figure out if there's anything I did, but it's very likely it's a game bug. If in-fact it IS a game-engine bug, I'll figure out a way to work-around it like I usually do (this is a LOT more common-place than anyone would guess it is, have done work-arounds for dozens and dozens of bugs since I started mapping in 1/2016, either until they were fixed or until there was a better way to do things).
Speaking of bugs, it was only 7~10 days ago that I nailed down how to re-create the issue with copied objects not rotating on the correct origin point in the forest editor, much of the time this was when spamming traffic lights.
    RESOLVED!

Would be happy to test it out when it becomes available, I'm on a fresh mods folder so I haven't had it loaded up again yet.

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit hyped. So much has changed over the two years that have passed since the last update that I couldn't even recognise the area in some of the screenshots despite having spend hours on the map.
Can't wait to try it myself

OK, I spoke with one of the staff today, and got some info. Important stuff first.
1.) Peak VRAM use is around 11GB for just the game. It may be + or - 1.5gb for margin of error, driver implementations, and so-forth. So it SHOULD run on high TEXTURE detail on 12gb cards, so please use MEDIUM texture detail with somewhat-common 8gb cards that have been around the last 7 years.
2.) The game engine does not work with Deflate64 but regular Deflate compression algorithm. This is my fault, I was under the impression this was supported. Looks like that was due to me accidentally misreading the 'fixes' notes on the recent game patches.
3.) Will upload tomorrow or tomorrow night the bug-fixed version that's properly compressed (or whenever the first overnight time is that I'm awake due to very restrictive data caps in the daytime and awful speeds/latency when data cap is exceeded and I'm throttled due to it). Yes, yes it can take up to 8~16 hours to upload this, but I've seen it upload in 6hrs if the stars align right.
Until which time, you can always extract the map, that will work (do clear cache).
4.) Other than the map not showing up due to the wrong compression, I've got no other bugs received here. If there is none by the time I re-upload this map (48 hours or less), you won't have to re-download it if last week's upload is already working on your end.
I will speak with staff and ask if they will re-zip the file if possible WITHOUT me having to re-upload. Sure would do some good to not kill my monthly data usage.
Thanks to @Car_Killer for the 411 on preferred zip format info. Thankfully it didn't take too long once I got to talk to him, to figure out what was going on.

In other news, my neck locked up for the last day or two, between my shoulder-blades and is causing some serious pain levels, because I carried some stuff into the house from the home store that wasn't really heavy - but this is what happens if I actually DO something. My knee is just burning pain constantly and will hurt like crazy any time I put weight on it, don't know how long I can hold off having it operated on, but I'm trying to push that as far out as I can. All this in addition to my lower back being on the verge of making me get stuck hunched over again. LOVE-LY. I so don't need this physical-issues deal right now when taking care of my almost-crippled-completely retirement-age mother (because I care, and no one else wants to be here for her when she needs it most, shame on them).
If I stop trying to be active, I won't lose any weight; but conversely, if I am active, my knee/back/ankles get so painful that I'm virtually useless around the home or if I needed to do something in town. At the rate this body has been going downhill, I will be on crutches or using a cane any day now. Again, no pity needed, but my physical health has never ever been this bad (it's been 3 weeks or so since I even used my own car!).
I will do my best to see the public beta gets out by the end of the week, if it is at all possible to do so.
Once the public version is uploaded / available / verified working, I will continue working on the map.
Thanks to those of you whom have reported bugs, the folks who support/contribute to the project, and also to those who care, as every little bit helps.

Am uploading now. Re-zipped this into DEFLATE not DEFLATE64, the difference being the former is evidently supported and not the latter. Derp. Guess I'm getting rusty at this. What can go wrong, will go wrong. Murphy's law is one I don't break.

Says it'll take like 8~12 hours, so if it ends up running out of time* I'll hit pause and finish it the following evening/early morning (that's why I love Mega, they're one of the better upload/backup sites if you don't go over the 5gb limit).
*My overnight 0200 hours to 0800 hours are not nearly as low for data caps as day-time hours. Data caps suck, folks. Friends don't let friends get an ISP with data caps. What is sad is I think (aside of throttling vs hard cut-off) the mobile data carriers are actually CHEAPER than this satellite is.
This upload will become available to contributors/supporters/patreon folks almost simultaneously, and as soon as I know it's 100% good to go, it'll go on the mod resource page for general public consumption. THIS UPDATE IS NOT DIFFERENT FROM THE LAST UPDATE A WEEK AGO, IT IS ONLY DIFFERING IN COMPRESSION METHOD.

If anyone in the USA uses a mobile hot-spot for home internet, and likes it, DO let me know. We have verizon towers the closest, as-such the T-mobile or AT&T services won't work well. Tried T-mobile (and I'm still in a billing dispute with these idiots some 4+ years later, what a hot mess & will never use them again!), and while downloads were quick, web pages were quick, I couldn't even upload a screenshot. While we were supposed to have fiber internet by now, it's been almost a year over-due and I'm not holding my breath.
With my physical condition, I've slowly considered moving closer to civilization any-who, as this place is 'starting to get away on me' if you know what I mean. On the bright side, it will be 75~80F today (I think 21~22C is around 70F), yeah, in February. It was 70F the previous day too. Unfortunately, when the cold front comes through and hits air 60F or warmer, it can bring tornadoes as the cold dry air comes in over-top of warm moist air, so it's not always nice & sunny when it's 70F + outside.
    MOIST!
    *runs away*

    UPDATE!
Patreons / Supporters, Contributors (etc) will get this next update immediately, I am sending it out now. It's uploaded (used up several GB's of my 8gb remaining for daytime but whatever). Just was an act of God the power did not go out like it always does when wind is gusty, otherwise I'd have to restart.

Thank-you for your patience and not hanging me out in town square.
This was MY goof up. I screwed up. They don't call me BLUNDERton for nothin' !
This shall correct it. As an amend, I will try to ask the staff to transfer this over in the next two days to the main public download as soon as someone lets me know it actually works.
If you already extracted the recent update (9 or 10 days ago), this one is not any different other than it should NOT need to be extracted. Only the compression method is changed (to something supported, actually!).
TLDR: IF YOUR UPDATE FROM THIS MONTH ALREADY IS WORKING EXTRACTED, YOU WON'T NEED THIS, but you can download it anyway if you'd rather have a zipped copy. This will be the public copy after a slight delay, barring any bugs.

Please keep me posted, the sooner I know this works, the sooner I can get it to everyone else. THANKS!

THE UPDATE FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION IS ON HOLD FOR A FEW DAYS (aiming for less than a week delay) TO FIX BUGS FOUND IN THE PRIVATE BETA TEST.
Thank-you to those who found bugs such as a broken transition texture for one of the highways, traffic lights out of place, and other unfinished bits that are eye-sores or otherwise hurt the use/immersion/enjoyment of the map.

I will be then posting a 3rd beta after the weekend (or a few days there-after) as I have a chance to find and fix bugs.
I have a few real-world obligations also to do in this time - Adding a banister at church to a set of two steps for the pianist, light in the kitchen is broken / fell down with big CRASH (the glass shade on the light just missed my retired mother by a foot or two) and starting to build my desk as I can now ambulate (move) myself to the garage some days. I *REALLY* need a better workstation as far as a desk goes here and I think I have enough scavenged wood and purchased some counter scraps to make something awesome, where I can really lean back a bit more and have room for the other monitors (can never have enough screens when editing/modeling 3d objects as you need a whole screen just for textures and even a 3rd screen for another perspective).

So I will be correcting the things listed this weekend in the map, and we can do a re-test again for those who are able to take time to do so (thank-you ahead of time). Only want the best for the map supporters, contributors, and fans of the project. For what has been downloaded hundreds of thousands of times, will be downloaded again with confidence that there's plenty of enjoyment per megabyte (or gigabyte in this case) that many times again and get better each time. It only gets better with your help, I can't do this alone. If it was just for me, maybe I'd put it down and pick it up again later, but with this many folks interested I won't be putting this map away anytime soon. It will continue to be worked on day after day as I am able to do so.
So check back in a few days to see progress updates, bugs fixed, and continue to send in those bug reports and general glitches/imperfections/annoying stuff/unsightly environment problems (via here, private messages, etc) so I can address these issues ASAP. The sooner bug reports come in, the sooner I can fix them & re-upload a better even more complete (and hopefully working) Los Injurus City map. Maybe with a little less of my blundering idiocy (mea culpa) next round.
    Thank-you again.
*Mea Culpa = my fault. Afterall, my name on here isn't BLUNDERton for nothin'! That's LATIN btw, I had 3 years of it in the 90's when I was in High-school and Junior High.

P.S. For those 50,000 who are either deceased or missing in the Turkey/Syrian regions from the earthquake, you have my full condolences and prayers. I wish I could do more to help, but I'm physically broken and on the wrong side of the globe so I guess I'm sitting this one out on the sidelines. Be strong, stand tall, and look to everything the future can bring!

Thanks! It means so much. I don't like to pour my problems out on others, but at some point it just becomes too much to just keep pushing it aside (and has a habit of taking over your life with new duties or just taking 10x as long to do the same old stuff). So in the age where transparency is golden, I choose to be such so that no one has any questions, no false beliefs, and that they also have no reason not to put trust in both this project and hopefully myself, too. My mother has her good and bad days as I do myself (and I am sure plenty of others do just the same), we're only human after-all. The important thing is, is to make the most of the good days (both since tomorrow is never promised and also for better mental well-being), without going too overboard and buying yourself into a week of hurt while you recover from over-doing it.

Rest-assured that I will be updating the public version ASAP. I just wanted to give a good solid 72~120 hours of bug-test time for folks to get some hours into the most recent beta to be sure all the important stuff is nicked and nothing ruins the show. It doesn't have to be perfect and in-fact might never be, but I certainly can do better than this month's go-rounds, and shall. After-all, there's not much point to having a beta if the people don't get a chance to test it and find bugs (I have made the mistake in the past with not finding bugs due to haste until the public have at it, making closed-beta bugs almost welcome by comparison). 72~120 hours is 3~5 days exactly. When the weekend is over, I should have most of these bugs fixed.
The reduced-bloat version (slimmed version) will be directly edited, and I will use that to push my updates until the public update is out.
To switch between these versions when editing is simple, I just move the 'main' folder of the most recently edited version to my non-bloated version (while all the objects that get slimmed out were in the art folder tree, which is where textures, models, sounds/bgm are located, with main being all the location data scripts and other such stuffs). So when slimmed, the main folder isn't changed, just the assets are reduced to only what is needed VS what is already in and to be used with both current and future stuff (and lots of bloat because I often put several textures in even if I only need one, so I can test and see which works and looks best for immersion/consistency and sometimes the others are good enough to be kept or needed for other things).

THE WINDOW FOR BUG REPORTS WILL CLOSE SUNDAY FEB 26 AFTERNOON AT 1PM CST (USA Central Standard Time).
I can then fix or work-around any last-minute bugs and as-such, get the beta out sooner. I have already fixed some bugs thus-far.

So if you got the closed beta, hooray! Enjoy the map & clobber some pianos for me. However if something is still amiss, you know the drill.
    --Cheers!

    *reported bug list:
-Incorrect compression on 1st beta run was FIXED. If you didn't get the 2nd beta give me a shout or look on the Patreon on last-week's posts.
-Several traffic lights improperly placed (height, rotation, customization) over by the abandoned mall and that side of town (several spots).
-Black texture error near the car-stunt-park / oversized skate-park thing on the highway where it goes from concrete 8-lane to 4-lane split old asphalt.
-Issue with the spawn script I cannot recreate. This may be a game-engine bug or just issues when updating (resolved by clearing cache?).
-Sign post texture not being double-sided and also known issue with orange road construction time-frame sign.
-AI misalignment on older sections of the original outer-ring highway that haven't been revamped yet (dark asphalt texture), this is known and will be fixed in the not-so-distant future. Those sections of AI pre-date traffic app and lane awareness when vehicles used to drive down the center of any road and will get updated when the highway is improved to something more immersive / realistic.
-Low resolution of highway textures to one side of the dark-texture / black-texture bug listed above. Will improve the resolution of this when I have a little more VRAM head-room to make it more consistent with intended texture resolution VS selected detail levels. I have high-res 4k sources for it.
-Map uses 11.6 GB of VRAM on highest texture detail, so please don't use high on 6gb/8gb cards or it will chug - medium will do fine. There's really no way around this and I will have to downscale some more textures as time goes on (there's some that are 4k x 16k, 8k square, or 4k x 8k textures) to balance immersion / detail / quality with VRAM weight in a game-engine that has issues removing stale stuff from VRAM to make room for current stuff. This is due to lack of full streaming which is not yet implemented in this game-engine. It is planned in the future but not likely before game version 1.0 (when it leaves early access), as a future feature down the road some. High-detail / full-detail versions of downscaled textures will be available to supporters in the future, as an optional upgrade, when it gets implemented to some sense of scale that'd make it worth it. Some of these textures are over one-hundred MB PER LAYER at full source detail (not usually ever in the map like this, for obvious reason).
-Flood control canal still needs better textures. I am keeping an eye out for some good ones, as the built-in ones from the base-game WCA map would look like DOOM resolution (MS-DOS Doom) when driving on them due to monstrous (but correct!) size of the canal. This one is an old report but still needs doing.
Please make me aware of anything else! I can't fix bugs I don't know about or didn't notice.

Sorry if I've been out of the loop for some days, health hasn't been doing well and I've been trying to get some other stuff done. The beta ran longer than I had planned for (needing a 3rd revision, I had truly only planned 2 but was unhappy with the 2nd one, so 3rd was req'd). It might be a few days before I can get another beta uploaded, weather permitting when that time comes. What's the worst of my issues right now is just feeling mentally 'fogged'. I can't figure out a better way to explain it, but after I was done reading the daily scripture reading (Psalm 121) on Sunday I couldn't even remember what I was supposed to say at the end of it (for about 3 seconds, then I remember 'This is the word of God, for the people of God; [all] Thanks be to God'). While I don't know what's wrong with my brain, it does this now and then, and then it gets over it usually by 2~4 days later - I do know it absolutely sucks. My motor skills stay, my reaction time is usually on point, but ask me to remember something or do very complex stuff and forget it, I am a mess at which point. What was weird is our pastor had the same thing happen when he got to the closing prayer and drew a blank on the 3rd line of it... so I didn't feel alone. He got a big hug for that - which maybe was more of a 'thank-you, at-least someone knows what I'm going through' except that he has an excuse - he's twice my age. I'm only 41 and this* shouldn't be happening this often at my age.
So I'm getting out of that mental fog now (it was worse on the weekend and during the latter half of last week) and I should have some time (among several other duties) to get this beta out before the end of the weekend. Just didn't want to leave anyone hanging and figured I'd be transparent about the project and things in general. I will likely be back to editing tomorrow night, hopefully.
Normally I don't try to bring religion or Church into the topic as it can be very dividing, especially for folks who are Athiest, however, it has done me so much better than I ever thought it could and we always leave with a smile. It's a place I can contribute to (like here on BeamNG) and be a part of society where people won't stab you in the back constantly, and plus it's a nice little slice of America that we were promised as kids, that I've finally found. Basically, the TLDR is 'it's a good influence'. However, I will never, ever, EVER push people to start going (that is their call entirely), nor will I be like some folks who choose to say 'you are going to hell for this and that reason' to attempt to scare folks - which doesn't work anyways. I can only share that I'm glad I did start going (and became an official member when I turned 40 on my birthday) and it's something I look forward to every Sunday, and would look forward to even if our church wasn't operating (sometimes happens in Winter time due to severe weather) and I had to go to a different church. It's all the same, really, and to be honest, living in the south here I find that most people do go to church versus the opposite when I lived in the north-east USA. So when in Rome...
Does that mean I dislike Athiest folk? Not in the slightest, it's their choice, it's their life, and 'The Bob Answer' to that is 'Not my ship to sink or sail'. I'm not allowed to judge, nor would I waste time trying. I have hatred of no one, and prefer to spend my time creating things on here or in the real-world or fixing things. I feel that's a lot more constructive and a better use of my time than trying to figure out reasons to dislike people. Life has enough haters already and NO ONE wants/needs another Karen around. The important thing is I would like to see people happy, whatever they choose to do.

So enough of the long-winded rant, which I'm surprised I could even type out legibly in any manner that made sense with how I feel, just know the beta will be done this week (provided I don't leave bugs in it and need yet another one!) and if all goes well, I can push that to a public server without ending up hanging in town square (due to too many bugs).
*The PTSD is killing my memory and is likely the reason for the mental 'fog' I get into for some days now and then. It won't stop me from making nor completing this project, though said 'fog' might slow it down just slightly now and then. It's not medication as I take a lot fewer of them than I used to (I stopped a lot of them as they weren't doing much besides drain the wallet), and I've at times stopped the medication and it didn't make any meaningful improvement in that regard.
So yes, will make a post in a day or two/three to keep folks posted. I do again have a lot of real-life tasks yet to do this time of year (and one-off stuff too), so it does compete a bit for my time on this project. Do know it's not dead, and neither am I, nor shall either be. Hopefully I don't do anything too stupid to my knee in the next few days so I can keep getting stuff done.
    --That is all!

Take a step back, Bob. It sounds like you need to concentrate on your health and mental well-being. People like myself periodically check on the progress of the map because we are looking forward to the big Los Injurus update. However, you can make idiots like us wait a bit longer if you just need a breather. We will wait. Take it easy mate.

Well deserved break. Take as much time as you need. If somebody says otherwise, ignore them, since mental and physical health are way more important than a good map mod for beamng.
