Imagine there was a real company that could turn Beamng vanilla vehicles into real life vehicles I mean imagine driving&owning a literal Vivace or a Bastion --- I don't actually know where to post this, so if it doesn't fit, take it off.
I've got good news for you, there's this thing called "cars" made by real "manufacturers" that look almost the same!
Yes, we do, i just think its silly, not because the beamng cars aren't fantastic, but because they are by definition a work around of copyright laws. If they legally could get away with, i like to believe, but wouldn't be sure without confirmation, that the dev team would just add actual real life vehicles. They are the most popular car mods for the game for a decent reason after all, people like to simulate reality. Asking for real cars based on the game is like asking for real cars based on GTA. You're asking for an imitation for an imitation created because they couldn't get the real deal, when YOU can get the real deal yourself in real life.
I kinda understand you but my brain is kinda cooked atm, I can't give a reasonable answer. The idea was to "imagine" though
Hi, I'm just imagining getting stuck in the forest with a real Stambeco. That happened to me once in real life with a "Pinzgauer" (similar to Puch/Iveco) a long time ago. Even when I design a map, I bring a lot of memories into it. Somehow it's almost confusing sometimes, haha! Can you drive real cars yet? I mean, do you have a driving license? When I'm sitting in a real car, I sometimes think of the driving physics of BeamNG and notice how realistic it is. You can learn so much about real cars in BeamNG, for example the types of drivetrain and how they react on loadchanges... Since I can not afford all types of vanilla cars in real life equivalent, it is a really great experience to be able to feel the very different cars in BeanNG and imagine to have them in real. Happy imagining and real driving!
Shameless self plug(JUST KIDDING(ITS A JOKE(I UNDERSTAND))), but in all honesty I think having something like the moonhawk in real life would be awesome.
I also disagree with that the dev team would add real life cars if they could get around copyright laws. There are so many cars out there and configs and parts that just thing about making a fully fleshed out f150 or something for beamng thats dev quality, it'd take forever. I think the cars in beam are perfect because there sort of generalizations of cars like an 80s fullsize or a mid 90s to 00s truck. This way the entire community isn't clamoring for like 8 different hatchbacks they can just have a general hatchback to play around with. I think its much more freeing that way to have there own design choice and much MUCH less work than 800 fully fleshed out real world cars.
on top of that, making your own cars is, counterintuitively, less work than making a real car when it comes to details, because when you do a real car, you need to make sure everything 100% matches the source material. I recall back when LucasBE was making his delorean mod, some people complained about how the mesh for the radio dials on the dashboard weren't proportioned accurately. But when you're making your own thing, you can loosely copy any source material, and any inaccuracies are "just the way it is".
Yeah, even with a port from a game like forza it'd be extremely hard to get the car to be a perfect rendition of real life vehicles.
Yeah, driving in real Gavril D-Series "Beast" in real Belasco... A pleasure that can be achieved only in dreams.
