    GTX 745

weak prebuilt graphics card, I doubt it gets 100FPS in other games at reasonable settings.

It's not BeamNG's fault, that GPU just isn't enough for gaming despite what alienware tells you.

but 12 FPS? That's a little low, even for a 745. Have you:

    - Turned down settings to "Normal"
    - Turned off dynamic reflections
    - Turned off SSAO
    - Changed your power saving settings to High Performance
    - Made sure your CPU is not overheating

    • 12FPS on what map? at what settings?
    • The GTX 745 does appear (at a glance) to be a truly terrible [very weak] card by modern standards. Dell and other OEMs are notorious for pairing fairly high-end processors with fairly low end GPUs on their "gaming" builds. Your situation is not a surprise.
    • While you are probably not part of the group this thread was aimed at, if you wanted you could follow the instructions and post your results back in this thread rather than that thread - http://www.beamng.com/threads/lower-abnormal-fps-in-0-4-3-0-troubleshooting-thread.17050/

EDIT: Corrected opinion on card from "truly terrible" to "weak" based on random benchmark websites. At a glance this card appears to be more than fast enough to run the game at low settings.

This is a great reason why you shouldnt dump a ton of money into a prebuilt.
Building your own machine isnt that hard, you just need the time and money to do so. And if you can get discounts on parts, sometimes you can get a better machine for cheaper than what you would pay for a prebuilt. And another plus is that you are making the choices behind whats in your PC, rather than some computer manufacturer like Dell or HP.

Load 'Gridmap' and don't change vehicle or move the camera.
Go to options > gameplay > enable 'Advanced Mode'
Also disable FPS Limiter and VSync in the graphics option
In the sidebar there will be a new button that says 'PERFORMANCE'. Press it and let the graphs fill the screen.
Then press ALT+O and paste here the image link.

I do like how what PC you claim to own has changed a few times since being here.

But yeah, a GTX745 is inadequate.
