First thing first: A problem every driving game has ever had, exhaust system does not effect engine sound. i would also really love it if you had a large v8 truck motor straight headers it would have the loud echo off stuff growl they get in real life. that would also mean the more of your exhaust you break off would make it louder. Also using larger or less exhaust should affect back pressure and there for effect backfireing and fuel consumption. Second big thing... Split Screen Multiplayer: This game already has simultaneous multiplayer with support for multiple controllers, but its all on the same screen. And while were on the topic there should be a online as well, with a dedicated server application. If the application were to exist i would like it to handle high thread systems properly, my workstation is 24 threads @4.2 GHz and running with 48GB of RAM, thats room for alot of physics simulation. I personally would be playing split screen and LAN but i know most people prefer long distance gaming. something little that would probably be a modders job: Im a bass head and if theirs one thing i know is cram 2 18" subs in a car and everything will flex. if you could have sub in car in game and maby have it stream music from a link or something and use the 100-0hz freq to effect rattle based on car size and port tuning that would make me call this game the best game of all time forever! 4th, Candy Slab: If theres one thing i like in a game its detailed car customisation, and i would like to see some more exotic stuff in this game. Im talking like obserd large wheels for trucks, more liverly's, diffrent paint styles, 36" rims to throw on a car similar to a Suberbin or Yukon XL, maby some repositionable decals like the older need for speed games had, neon lights, basicly put the kind of detail in the exotic side you already put everywere else. Finally if any dev's see this, i love what this game is becoming so much and for a few years i have been setting back watching something small become so awesome! You guys have made a game that my redneck "I Dont Play Video Games" friends actually want to play when they come over. I know im asking for alot, but im telling you what i really want to see.
there are so many liveries/skins for a lot of cars for Djpopplers pack and Variety mod, if you want more for the devs to do they put more in every update (just about) neon lights are a mod, forgot which though the devs are still looking into if multiplayer if possible everything about sounds will be much more improved later on, they are working on it
1- While i agree, having dynamic exhaust sounds would be so complex, having an exhaustless noise, then modifying the sound as it runs through its different systems, or having a recorded sound per active parts would be hard. I think that they should focus on a sound per engine first. 2- Been discussed a shit ton, i think its quite feasible. 3- Been discussed not so much, but yeah, something alike what My Summer Car does, i would like it too. 4- While i would criticize the small amount of mods available for the vehicles, i do have to give it to them that they are still adding more and more as time goes by. In fact, i think that they are making carbon fiber aero-splitters for the sunburst in the new update. So having more customization will be coming (i personally CANNOT WAIT to see bucket racing seats)
The system is in place for the exhaust sounds you want, its just a matter of designing new sounds. There is a chain of nodes and beams that define exhaust systems, and a break along there is accompanied by a change in where exhaust comes from ,as can easily be changed so that sounds change as well. http://www.beamng.com/threads/micro-blog-s-july-2015-to-march-2016.14715/page-30#post-323914 This is a matter of speeding up the GFX engine. As it stands, the GFX can barely manage to render one screen on decent hardware, much less two unique viewpoints.
1. i have noticed, i'm suggesting things i see was reasonable, like the bass car flex thing, in older versions of the game wind used to make car parts flex like hell. im just voicing some details that mater to me. 2. i honestly think my system could take a second vewport, i dont experience frame drops unless i use sun gravity or have more than 10-15 cars on screen at a time and i play all setting on max 2048x1536. my gpu is a week point being at gtx 680 overclocked to hell and back, but my specs are in my sig. so you know the rest of my system is quite... make people mad, say i have to much power for 1 person. also reason i would have 15-20 cars is i like to spawn alot of cars in a line then run over them with a dump truck, its so satisfying. thats 30min of MS-PAINT for yah, started out as a simple doodle to show one of my friends it dose not take fancy software to tools to make a good pic, and i kept adding more detail. drawn in the vista version of ms-paint using a Logitech ball mouse.
Considering the 2 viewports are a graphics thing, and the graphics engine is pretty inoptimal (which if you'd paid attention to how this section works, ypu'd have searched, which then means you'd have seen dev statements on matter)
wells whats a second vewport? half FPS? i could drop settings and be fine. and it being laggy is no reason to just not bother with it. id rather have a buggy laggy experimental feature than no feature at all.
