Oops, my files are Jpg lol. Fixing... --- Post updated --- New file: --- Post updated --- Test- Red and Blue=1000 Black and white=Modified Rotary Black and yellow=Original rotary https://beamng.com/threads/satsuma-210-weaker-rotary-pack.40695/
Thanks. your setup is a little confusing If i got it right the settings are the following: Red/Blue: 1000cc I4 Black/White: My 753cc Single Rotor Wankel Black/Yellow: 1308cc 2-Rotor Wankel
The odometer indicators are similar props like the gauge needles. They move if one of the reference nodes in the floor moves in a crash, so it's completely normal. Thanks for making the engine. I'll test it out when I have more time. I'm modeling the pickup bed right now. I got the cab model finished earlier and it's ready for textures. The pickup bed is still very WIP:
The vaguely cabover(I know that will not be the final design) outline makes me want you to make a cab over version so badly.
I haven't tested it very much, but it seems pretty good. Slightly faster that the 1000. --- Post updated --- YES! WE NEED A CAB OVER VERSION
Indeed it is more powerful than the 1000 version. In top speed its a dent faster than the 1200 mated to the 2-Speed Auto, because its a rotary and it has much more low end torque and is revving better. But all in all i guess its about equal when the 1200 and the 4-Speed Manual are used.(Compared to the Wankel with the stock 2-Speed) So the Detuned Wankel is a engine that I would see the "deluxe" or "sporty" city car maybe a quirky cabriolet. It gets to 50/35 quickly and behaves well (no wheelspin or sliding around) I don't know whether the coupe is actually faster, all I tested was the estate body. And I guess it would make a great engine a delivery vehicle (for the van or the upcoming pickup) maybe mated with a short ratio 3-Speed automatic Gearbox that makes it play out its torque bonus when hauling load within the city, it gets to 50/35 quickly and easily (so it doesn't hold up traffic because its going 35/25 up a hill) and tops out around 110/67 or 100/62 as it was legal maximum permitted speed in Japan at that time. (Fun fact: the Nissan S-Cargo (google it, it looks hilarious) from the 80's has a chime that permanently sounds when you're over 100kph.) As previously stated, I made the detuned version because I thought the 13B was to powerful and I wanted a version that matches the car era a little better. Also I wanted a car that is easy to drive but still has the orgasmic sound of the Wankel engine. I kept the stats for the most part and my engine is essentially a 63%Power version of the 2-Rotor mike made. (I made a 45%, 50%, 55%, 60%, 65%, 70% and tested them all. After a few runs the 65 was a little too quick in the end going 140, 160 on flat ground and the 60% barely made 120. So I went in between them with 63%) I hope you like it. And as stated mike can take it into the mod if he likes it. No credit needed as it was just a small mod that took maybe 15mins. Edit: Several typos, small additions
Working on some more configs for the rotary pack(yay!) --- Post updated --- Progress: Stripped configs: 40% Deluxe configs: 0% Rat rod: 0% --- Post updated --- Another update: Deluxe: 75% Stripped: 75% Rat: 0% --- Post updated --- Me: Ok, let's just lower this ride height a little-OH MY GOD WHAT IS THIS CODE Suggestion: break your code into lines, it makes things easier to find. --- Post updated --- If anyone wants to help me make lowering springs, PM me, but for now I'll just release it without them(the rat rod config will be there, but will have normal front suspension) https://beamng.com/threads/satsuma-210-weaker-rotary-pack.40695/
Open the jbeams with Wordpad and save. This restores the proper alignment and they are much easier to read.
If anyone wants to help me make lowering springs, PM me, but for now I'll just release it without them(the rat rod config will be there, but will have normal front suspension) alright, I'll try that when i can get on my computer --- Post updated --- I have created a separate thread for the rotary pack https://beamng.com/threads/satsuma-210-weaker-rotary-pack.40695/
I really enjoy this mod its absolutely amazing to finally have a vintage vehicle pack that is actually GOOD! I love the engine sounds and how much custom stuff you can mess with. I was really hoping maybe for the next update you should mod one of the panel trucks into a hearse! that would be an original for beamng and it would be awesome! Cant wait to see a pickup line and a hearse off of this mod11
Hey Mike, love your mod! Probably one of, if not most used car in Beam. If you don't mind, could I ask for a few things? Maybe a Pod Tacho or a Boost gauge, maybe both, a small V8 from some sort of Jap car, maybe a sunburst motor. Maybe a proper Ute?
V8 is WIP in my Satsuma mod, will be coming in the next 2 weeks or so. (Based on the Toyota V Engine) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_V_engine
Thanks! I'm planning to add the pod tachometer, boost gauge and the new sport gauge cluster along with the convertible body after I get the pickup done. Nice.
i think the next thing this mod needs is some trucks. the one thing this game needs is an old truck! you should also turn one of the higher powered panel vans into a hearse. that would be awesome!
