OLD CUSTOM SOUNDS MOD IN THIS MESSAGE

Here we are, please find in attachment a little mod that adds old sounds to the cars again. Just drop it in your mods folder and it will disable new sounds and bring back the old ones.

Please give me your feedback, i didn't tested them all, some may be too loud, so please report. I would like so much to have both new sounds that are great for Derby cars, and old sounds all together, but it's not possible as the new system sound is disabled fully when a "sounds" folder is detected.

It would have been nice to have a detection per engine instead, like if an old fashioned engine section is detected in an engine part then use the old Sbeam.

Also as a bonus before it will be included in a further update, you can find manual transmission for all engines except the Dragster

November 24th 2017 : West Coast USA update



- Sirens sounds and horns added
- many bug fixes that were reported since the release
- stronger front steering, wheels won't turn 180 inside the car anymore
- custom sounds made with Sbeam are back. I tried to use the new system but it's far from my abilities, and having the same sound for all cars is boring. Rusty, Diesel sounds are back, and softer sounds for the regular sedan. Sounds may be improved a bit to get more powerful sounds for muscle cars engines.
- Manual Gearboxes for all engines except dragster.
- added reliable engine for the rusty cars, as an option (not in the presets)


- added two new presets : the Cheap Tuning Regency coupe and the Custom Cruiser Restomod.

It's because you didn't udpated the Codename:Oldsfusize main mod. All the skin textures are located there.

It's written in the update : download the two parts, the addon needs the main mod, everytime.

Can an impala be built on the same platform?

Impala is possible and was already requested. It's logical since the car is the same except details. But i havn't time for that kind of stuff currently, maybe later.

There is a bug in the current version i have to figure out, the special binding of cars like tailgate and alley lights, taxi lights, don't work for the Delta 88 and Custom Cruiser. I noticed that yesterday evening and i havn't changed anything. Investigating

 

Man, listening to Dragonforce and driving the Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser while in WCUSA is nostalgic.

 

The coupe skin reminds me of the 1975 Road Runner. Maybe someday we can get the Regency coupe without a Landau top?
