Looks like the PostFX improves that were announced by himself in the Development Screenshots (https://www.beamng.com/threads/development-screenshots-2.24313/page-2) For those who want it, here are all the photos of the beater Moonhawk, the rust details in the fascia are awesome
It's quite odd that this thread is so quiet when we are just 10 days from the update. One thing I would like to say is that it's odd that the Italy thread went quiet a while ago. The last thing that Hutch was working on was textures, so it could be ready...
Nope, that's only the date when the album was created. The photos are added in cronological order, being the ones in the top the most recent.
I'm not familiar with Imgur and I don't know if that data can be seen, but at first sight the date doesn't appear anywhere. Anyway the images have to be less than a week old (I've been checking it recently).
So, with the AI improvements, do you think we'll be seeing a record number of broken scenario/campaign mods?
Doubt it, stuff like chase, flee, span etc should only get better from the new collision detection and AI changes, though it may break a few scenarios where them being smarter is an issue. Then the traffic system they are talking about will more than likely just be a separate setting or selection.
I'm worried that the AI rework is going to involve re-naming or entirely replacing various triggers or modes - which could lead to cars failing to start/stop moving, turn onto specific roads, or correctly respond to following vehicles.
I believe the screenshot of the AB car was taken on JRI. Oddly enough there is a guardrail . Could the maps be receiving updates?
Okay... If you're referring to the white car with the exposed engine, I don't know quite where you see a guardrail. It's just as likely that particular image could have been taken on Italy - the vegetation is too blurry to tell for certain. Hang on - there does seem to be a guardrail in the reflection of the yellow car. Again, hard to say where, as the yellow messes with the colouration of the image. It doesn't look quite thick enough for JRI to me, but there are a few spots on JRI (sans guardrail) that could conceivably fit the mold. I guess we just have to wait a week.
I wonder if PBR is in those latest beautiful shots from NDX? Then I read this quite worried: http://www.garagegames.com/community/forums/viewthread/136389/4 Like if T3D would already have enough issues with too expensive ways of doing things, like shadows and dynamic reflections which are totally killing any hardware currently available, what will come of PBR then? Of course screenshots do sell and making best looking graphics pretty is important there, but if none can enjoy about those graphics, except when taking screenshots? Team is of course capable and able, so if that is not going to be usable feature, I guess they will drop it, also that was just one post from 2014, things might of evolved to different direction since then in T3D, but sometimes reading such makes one really worried. Still, would PBR mean that I don't need to spend hours and hours in attempt of trying to get specular maps done, which just refuses to work as what I understand is that PBR will kinda replace specular maps? Then again it might be that PBR is not coming in next update and screenshots just have pretty shading by other means...
