/!\ Please remove any old versions of both Kashira generations and clear your cache before installing this mod!

The biggest Kashira update yet is here! This update has been a massive effort between myself, @Car_Killer, @Ezo, @Ai'Torror, @Yuko~chan, @Nekkit, @Vinh, @waboll, and @TrackpadUser, and we are very excited to finally share all that we've been working on with y'all!

    JDM Kashira

The main highlight of this update is a brand new Japanese market Kashira and plenty of new parts and configs to go with it! This brought the total number of configs to over 90, and as such, the vehicle cluster started to get messy...

    Vehicle Selector Organization

That's why this update also splits the Kashira into three different sub-vehicles with their own category in the vehicle selector! This allows for much easier navigation of configurations, and all parts are still available for each version.

This will likely break some mods for the Kashira however, so be wary of that. It is fairly easy to convert mods to the new system though, and we even made sure that .pc files are cross-comparable with each Kashira version. If you have any questions about updating a mod you've made, please ask on the Kashira thread, and we can help you out!

    Metallic Flake Paint

We've added a whole palette of special metallic-flake paint options that add a new level of style to your van! All ZX versions of the Kashira use these fancy new paint options on their stock configs, as well as a select few custom versions. The results are a bit better with dynamic reflections turned on, but even with lower settings, the difference should be huge!

The downfall of this feature though, is that it requires a specially made skin for each color option, so there are a limited amount of options. This also means that any configuration with one of these paint options will not work with the normal color selector, so if you wish to change the color of your vehicle, you will have to first remove the "Metallic-Flake" paint design in the parts menu.

    New Parts

We've added a multitude of new parts and skins, including pre-damaged body panels, engines swaps from the Bluebuck, and even a news satellite for this tiny van!

    Interior Improvements

The interior was always a bit lacking, so we've spiced it up considerably! The dashboard now features proper texturing, improved mesh alignment, and a working clock! And it lights up at night too!

    Improved Jbeam

Many areas of the jbeam have been updated to improve deformation, as well as a completely new sliding-door structure that allows the doors to occasionally become de-latched and slide around in certain crashes.

    Improved Sounds

Most of the sounds, from the engines, to the ignition, to the sirens for the multitude of new emergency vehicles have been updated and improved to be consistent with vanilla cars.

    Updated Materials

All the materials for the Kashira have been updated from outdated .cs, to the new .json format that official vehicles use. This will improve future performance and compatibility of the mod, although a cache clear before installing this mod will be necessary to reset your materials to this new system.

    ...and so much more!

But thank you all for downloading this mod, and a absolutely huge thank you to all the other modders who helped make this silly mod into what it is today!
