In 1994 Autoschnell wanted a fast powerful version of there rather boring Autoschnell 80 so they asked there racing division to soup it up with cool styling, powerful engine sports suspension and a VERY limited production span allowing for sky high prices. This beast was known as the RS2, Autoschnells first 'RS' car. Since then thay have made many 'S' and 'RS' cars including the famous 'S1', 'S3', 'RS3', 'S4', 'RS4', 'S5', 'RS5', 'S6', 'RS6', 'S7' and 'RS7' along with there renowned 'R8 V8' and 'R8 V10'
This car was to celebrate 10 years of the 'RS' brand in 2004 after many letters from fans of the 'S' and 'RS' brand. This car is a 4 door version of the 'S3', from 1999 with even bigger wheel arches and huge 205 and 215 tires. It has a brand newly designed 2.2L i5 with dual over head cam and a massive turbo pushing out 333 bhp at 7300rpm. This power is driven through a special 'Quattro' AWD system with a 6 speed manual gear box. Weighing a little over 1.6 tones and having race tuned double wishbone suspension it could do 0-60 in a blistering 5.7 seconds and push on till a stong 160mph. They made 311 of these cars world wide to commemorate how much power the original RS2 had and these days could fetch upwards of £150,000, more than the original RS2.
