This is a 8.1L 496 cubic inch V8 built to the specifications of GM's Vortec 8100 from 2001-2010. It works in all cars included with BeamNG.drive and uses the same models and accessories as the 6.9L V8 included with BeamNG, except for some vehicle-to-vehicle changes.
- Certain parts such as superchargers may make the engine stay at the redline for extended periods of time before shifting. This can be fixed with either gear ratio tuning, using a sport or race ecu to raise the redline, or applying less throttle.
- The transmission tuning is not that great, but it is adjustable, so you can tune your car exactly the way you want it. If anyone has better tuning for any of the stock configs, please feel free to message me directly.
- The setups for many vehicles do not have properly attached parts such as exhaust models. Once I learn how to make decent looking models, this will be fixed.
- The Cherrier FCV will sometimes report Oil Starvation upon first spawn with the 8.1L V8. This usually disappears after a simple vehicle reset. If anyone has any idea of what could be causing this, please message me.

For some reason, this engine in some vehicles won't work without a nitrous oxide injection system installed. The pigeon and wigeon haven't had their engine models changed yet (it still looks like an I4). If you're still having issues, feel free to contact me directly and I'll try to help you fix it.
