Beta Asphalt & Dirt 1.0

Beat the clock, but with a twist! Choose two vehicles, one for each half of the course!

    Half asphalt, half dirt!
    That's what you'll experience on this course in East Coast USA. So, how about switching your ride halfway? I created a new little feature that allows you to jump to and choose two vehicles at the start of the scenario. It looks like this:

    Choose a strong road or track vehicle for the first half, then choose an offroad or rally machine for the second half. When you make it to the purple marker, you will automatically enter the other vehicle. Drive fast, and go for the gold medal!

    I marked this scenario as "Beta", because there is a chance something will screw up in the scenario. For example, waypoints stopped working when I tested this on my laptop. Couldn't find the reason.

    Bugs:
    • If you restart the scenario after the second half starts, "arcade" gearbox mode will get enabled. Just press the key to revert it.
    • The main vehicle choice UI doesn't update when you switch vehicles. Don't worry about it, just use it like normal.
    • The first waypoint disappears, but still works.
    • There's a chance that the second half of the scenario won't work for you at all. Let me know if that happens.

    After many attempts, now finally down to a sub 2:00 minute mark. Best time so far is with a Sunburst Hillclimb and a Off-road Sunburst. Will be seeing how good of a time I can get with a Old Timey set. Can see me playing this scenario a lot. The changing of cars while racing probably the best I've seen, and I'm surprised how seamless it is.
    Great scenario Gull, keep up them coming.

    Seriously, this scenario reminded me of GTA 5 where we or even simple Driver: San Francisco where we switch from one instance to another. It's so cool to witness the same thing in BeamNG. Although, I would like to suggest that after hitting the purple checkpoint and switching to second car. The first car should be controlled by AI make it drive away. Makes more sense.

      Thanks! I definitely had a bit of inspiration from Driver: San Francisco, even though it has been forever since I've played it. Good suggestion there!
