Beta Cops and Robbers - Maple Leaf Credit Union 0.85

A multi-stage heist in ECU.

  1. Occam's Razer
    Cops and Robbers is a functional proof-of-concept for scenarios and campaigns portraying the planning and execution of various bank heists. This one revolves around stealing from the Maple Leaf Credit Union in East Coast's Firwood.

    Notes:
    • You're not crazy, the scenarios do have music. For those that don't want music, I'll upload a separate version under the discussion tab in the near future.
    • The scenarios are not currently a full campaign, so you'll have to select them individually. There are only two, however. You'll need to start with the "Planning" scenario.
    • The chase AI is better than it was pre-V1.0, but is still pretty rough around the edges. Hence, the getaway isn't particularly hard.
    • I do have tentative plans to improve on the foundation, including a more elaborate planning stage, more police cars in the getaway, and the ability to full-stealth heists.

    It has a very good concept and l applaud you for that, especially the music that gets you really emerged in the whole senario. Problem is after playing it 4 or five times, the cop never reached me and it was rather dissapointing

      I know; I'm hoping the AI will be improved at some point. I have some tentative plans to add another car to the chase, which would allow one to head the player off at some point (adding at least a small chance of vehicle-vehicle contact), but I'm unsure of how to implement it.

    10/10, I Loved it, but the cop didn`t get near me, the AI made it do a U-Turn about a halfway down the street from the bank.

      Right? I don't know what it's doing there, but it happens all the time. Sometime I may enable the debug and hand it in to the devs as a bug report when/if I have more info.

    Wish there were more cars that chase you as it feels underwhelming, but it's a very cool concept

    The car selection doesn't work for me or I haven't figured out how to select the car, you should put instructions and a comfirmation screen or sound that confirms the car that the player chooses...

      You can ram him, but remember that if you completely disable him he'll just respawn at a random point on the map.
