This is a remastering of the once popular Crazy Contraptions / Part Randomizer mod by @umustbeloggedintododat (I got his permission to do so) that unfortunately broke for a while. I have now revived the mod and will be adding new features to the mod. :)

    Instructions
    1. Add the Crazy Contraptions Remastered UI app to the UI layout
    2. Press one of the buttons
    3. Wait a little for the magic to happen :)
Note: It will only randomize parts of the chosen vehicle and doesn't also randomly pick a new vehicle.

    New Features
    • No more spawning with incompatible parts (e.g. diesel engine will spawn with a diesel fuel tank and will not spawn with a battery or gasoline fuel tank)
    • Now can scramble tuning values and paint colors!
    • Front and rear diffs will choose same final drive ratios, preventing drivetrain/gear windup :)
    • Now can randomize body parts and drivetrain parts solely
    • Body parts can be empty now

If the mod isn't working for you, try pressing Ctrl + L to restart Lua. And if that doesn't work try disabling all other mods and restart Lua, because you may have broken mod(s).

    Credits:
    @umustbeloggedintododat for the original project
@_N_S_ for the scramble paint code

Tried it and my cadillac series 62 turned into a driveable empty frame. Best remaster ever.

scary drive is correct. but if you dont click alot it works. but how the heck did my sbr4 spawn with a F6 with battery???

      Author's Response
It’s probably because since the F6 engine is a mod, the author used an internal name for it that doesn’t follow the regular BeamNG part naming scheme.

Before I ask for a new button I have to admit, I actually got some random configs that were surprisingly fast, others that were just hilarious, and some that could pass for a mad max vehicle that got repainted. Could you possibly add a button to scramble the suspension/ tire parts?

Thanks for the review! Maybe sometime in the future I might add those but for now I'm just trying to keep the mod simple with general features and not too complex.

Most bugs are fixed now but it still almost always removes radiator support when scrambling body parts for some reason
