This mod was kind of disappointing to be honest. There are a few flaws which in my opinion should be worked out:
1- The engine model is a DOHC engine. What kind of diesel engine in the 60s would have used dual cams? This isn't a huge issue though as it doesn't affect the driving.
2- The power and torque are wrong; the torque curve is far too flat for a diesel , and as a result the power is too high and too consistent. Torque in a naturally aspirated diesel engine would be plummeting after 3000 RPM give or take. You can tell even the acceleration is too fast for a 1.4 diesel.
The 1.4 diesel has 70hp which is far too much. For reference, there were 1.5L naturally aspirated diesels in the 90s that barely cracked 50hp, no way a 1.4 from 1962 would have as much as 70hp, even with a turbo (which it doesn't have).
3- Why does the 1.8L rev higher than the 1.4L? If anything the bigger engine should have a lower redline as there is more mass which becomes harder to move as the engine accelerates. Nearly 6000RPM from a 2L diesel is absurd IMO.
Other than these 3 things, it's pretty good. The rolling coal is a nice touch.
Thank you for your feedback. I used the dohc model because it's fuel injected. The sohc models have a carburetor. And diesels can't be carburetted due to the high pressure in the engine. For the torque and engine horsepower , I Will remake the torque settings. I didn't know that with diesel engines, that they rev lower when they are bigger in liter. I will also make sure to fix that too. :)
I like this a lot! It would be nice to have something more, though, like a custom engine sound, lower revving tachometer, or a diesel badge on the back.
Its very nice, specially for me, as i like rolling coal :P
Looking forward to those turbo´d versions, if you decide to make them :D
(Tip: use the Semi´s Turbo)
