ETK 800-Series Facelift 1.1

Bringing the 800-Series into 2021!

  1. Finn Wilkinson
Any issues, bugs or things you'd like to see in the mod? Mention it in the discussion thread!

This is a mod which adds facelift parts to the ETK 800, with three differentiating bumpers, and a panoramic sunroof.

Once the mod is installed, remember to clear cache and restart the game.

Hopefully this mod should be higher quality than my K-Series facelift (no guarantees), which was released as 1.0 just over a month ago, but of course, if there's any issues, put them in the discussion thread!
Though, I’m still fairly new to modelling, so don’t be too harsh, but I do appreciate people pointing out specific bad spots.

I started this mod since I've never been a fan of the pre-facelift's styling, and since I thought the 800 was a little deprived and underapreciated.

(pictures taken by @Theo Wilkinson and me as of the 1.0 release, but should still 99% apply to the 1.1 update)

    Into the features!

    New parts, and other changes.

New headlights, with removal of fog lights (moved to the bumper) on the xcSport models, and better-fitting fenders.
    screenshot_2021-09-11_15-30-19.png screenshot_2021-09-11_15-31-29.png

New front bumpers, having three variations, a new ETK grille (turns silver on xcSport models) and DRLs.

New wingmirrors, using the same attachment point as the old ones but with indicators and black trim.
    screenshot_2021-09-11_15-35-55.png screenshot_2021-09-11_15-36-39.png

Colourable side trim now includes the new door handles and exhuast tips. The fender indicator was also removed.
    screenshot_2021-09-11_15-37-36.png screenshot_2021-09-11_15-38-33.png

Panoramic sunroof, with optional black trim on the boot spoiler.
    screenshot_2021-09-11_15-40-35.png screenshot_2021-09-11_15-41-56.png screenshot_2021-09-11_15-42-59.png screenshot_2021-09-11_15-43-51.png

Two new rear bumper options, with optional diffusers for 4cyl and 6cyl variants on the base bumper.
New boot too, with plate slot moved up, rear light bar with moved up and shrunken badge, edited shape, wider CHMSL (centre high-mounted stop light) and more black trim underneath.
    screenshot_2021-09-11_15-45-11.png screenshot_2021-09-11_15-48-16.png

New facelift body, with chassis edits for part fitment, bigger sunroof gap (unfortunately, this makes the non-pano sunroof not fit) and most importantly...
    A new interior!

    Here's how it looks recoloured:

I’ve also upped the power by up to 200hp on all variants, to compete with modern standards.

Pictures of the car on the move.

And here's some beautiful pics (all taken by my brother, @Theo Wilkinson ) of every variant in motion:

So, credits. Here's the people who helped along the way:

@Theo Wilkinson who I've mentioned 3 times now, but he helped overall in pretty much everything, including the idea of the mod and motivation to carry on!

@Stoat Muldoon for JBeam.. wait, did he? Well, anyway, he's helped so much on my other mods that I'd mayswell mention him here, since some of it must have transferred over.

@Alex_The_Gamer for helping with knowledge on general modelling.

    @Kueso for glowmap knowledge.

And loads of other people for support, compliments and criticism throughout! Please tell me if you did anything, I'm so so sorry if I forgot about you haha.

Thanks for reading to the end, and enjoy!

Great work. I suggest adding a second screen in place of traditional gauges because that's what is BMW has now

Concept is great, model looks fab from a distance, but close details show a poor modeling skills. Congratulations for the hard work and keep improving

Thankyou, but are you sure 3 stars isn’t a bit too harsh for this review? You didn’t mention enough bad about the mod for 3 stars, and I’d like to know exactly what I did wrong rather than just ’poor modelling skills’.

Awesome! I can’t believe you actually did it, after my weeks of nagging lol. Knew it’d turn out well

facelifts are always good quality of life mods! I wish there was a short 3 door hatchback version so I could recreate the Audi RS3 Sportback (:

I only have two objections. The mesh is pretty rough, and I wish you would have made more changes considering this is a 10 year old car. But otherwise it’s pretty good, just polish up the model a little bit :D

Just like your ETK K Facelift parts, this also has major shading & smoothing issues. The design is nice but the quality lags behind.

Which one? I based the ttS bumper off the Panemera Turbo S and E63 AMG so that could be the one but which one are you thinking of?
