Awesome mod but I have a question. For any car, how do I select a certain engine like for example, the 1994 Soliad Wendover, when I want to select the 5.4L Triton V8 out of the Mustang SVT Cobra R, I can only select the 4.6L engines that comes when I select the "Ford Triton V8 Engines" option? This is in career mode btw

This mod just gets better and better. I think it'd be nice to have realistic radiators and untunable transmissions to give a more realistic feel. Also I'd love to see Ford Taurus SHO engines be added.
-
Author's Response
Thank you for the review again.
I agree that having realistic radiators and transmissions would be better for the realism effect. The reason why I made tunable transmissions was so that I could get the correct gear ratios when making the vehicle configs without making the parts lists super long. Alternatively, I would have had to make a separate transmission for each config. Since you brought it up, though, I will look into maybe providing Ford's most notable transmissions with their respective gear ratios as not-tunable transmissions.
I will make sure the Ford Taurus SHO's engines are added to the requested engines list.

Awesome mod so far. love the selection... and there are A LOT of em. been trying to "recreate" my irl 19 f150 xl and haven't been able to find the exact 3.3 ti-vct v6 it has. closest I found was a 3.5 v6 I think. but in trying to find my engine, i noticed a TON of other options that could be fun to mess with. like putting a coyote in a covet or something.
-
Author's Response
Unfortionally, I haven't made Ford's Duratec 3.3L V6 yet. I will make sure to add that to the list of requested engines.

I like the mod. It works and does what i expected and sadly a bit more.
This mod added a bunch of "ghost" cars that doesnt exist.
65stang, barrettbronco, bronco_LM, crownvic, Ford F150 Raptor SVT and more.
Is this a bug or is this needed to have the engines appear ingame?
Would not complain to get the actual cars but i tried to spawn the mustang in and my current car just went to space and didnt stop.-
Author's Response
The names you listed are the folder names for mod vehicles (created by different authors, not me) that I have added support to for my mod. Those folders contain the data for the configs to show up in the Vehicle Selector and the engine(s) to be available in the Parts Selector for that mod vehicle. The "ghost" cars happen when the corresponding mod vehicle isn't installed/enabled. Please note that it isn't required to install these mod vehicles for my mod to work. If you don't have the mod vehicles installed/enable, my mod will still work normally for every default BeamNG vehicle, and only just won't be able to spawn the nonexistent mod vehicle. For people who do have the mod vehicle(s) installed, my mod will function on the mod vehicle as it does with the default BeamNG vehicles.

Awesome mod, but, if i can suggest an engine, (not stealing) the mustang II engine
-
Author's Response
Currently, my mod already has the following Mustang II engines/configs (all added to the Bruckell Moonhawk):
-1974 Ford Mustang II with Cologne 2.8L V6
-1975 Ford Mustang II with Lima 2.3L I4
-1976 Ford Mustang II Cobra II with Windsor 5.0L V8
-1978 Ford Mustang II King Cobra with Windsor 5.0L V8
I will make sure to add the rest of the engine options and configs from the Mustang II's generation.

Absolutely amazing mod, however, if it is possible to request a engine to be added, i would like to see the 5.8L Windsor Wedge. My dad had one in his 1997 F-350 Super Heavy Duty
-
Author's Response
Yeah. I will make sure to add both the engine and vehicle config.

i love it but i would like the links to the extra mods for more fun. thanks for the mod love to see more
-
Author's Response
If you look under the "Contents of the Mod" spoiler, you will find a link to open an Excel spreadsheet with all the mod vehicles my mod supports and their corresponding creator and download links. Additionally, whenever I post an update for my mod that adds an engine and/or configuration for a mod vehicle, I provide a download link next to the mod's name.
If you want a Ford engine added to a particular Ford vehicle mod for BeamNG, please let me know.

The exhaust noise is coming out the wrong end of the car, not sure if that's just me because i see nobody else saying that but the engines sound great
-
Author's Response
Are you experiencing this on a particular car or all cars? Also, does this happen with a particular engine family/variant or all of them? You can DM me through this website by going to my profile and clicking "start a conversation" and I'll look into this issue more.

I love how much this mod has grown and I hope it keeps growing for a while cause its such a unique mod no one else has gone to the lengths that you have bringing all the engines to the game!
-
Author's Response
Thank you for the review! My end goal is to add all engines ever manufactured by Ford and engines used in Ford vehicles. I plan to continue updating this mod for as long as it takes to accomplish that (unless some unforeseen life event occurs).

Absolutely great mod! As a question, do you think you could make a 360cui V8? It was used on the Ford F Series trucks and pickups between 1968 and 1976. (Mainly because this engine was also used on the Jeep Honcho and can be heard in "Twister")
-
Author's Response
Thank you. I will make sure to add the 360CUI V8 to the list of requested engines.

- 4/5,
this is a great engine pack
but the only issues i've encountered is that most modern engines lack a rev limiter
and the configs for the t series and wentward bus are severely underpowered-
Author's Response
The reason why the configs for the T-Series and Wentward seem underpowered is that they are much larger/heavier than the real-life Ford vehicles the configs are based on. I engines have accurate horsepower and torque ratings. For example, the Ford B-Series configs are supposed to be like school buses from the '50s and '60s. However, since BeamNG doesn't have a school bus default vehicle, I chose the Wentward as the next closest option. Obviously, the Wentward is much larger/heavier than a school bus and a gasoline engine from the '50s/'60s is not going to produce as much power as a modern turbo diesel.
As for the rev limiter, I'll have to look into that issue more since multiple people have mentioned it now. However, my statement in the previous review is still applicable.

- 4/5,
I love this mod because of the variety of engines offered. They sound great and too. However I cant seem to be able to adjust the rev limiters or rpm limits like the other vanilla engines. Even with the race ecu, it seems like these values are pre determined. Would love to see this be customizale soon
-
Author's Response
The issue with the rev limiter might be related to how much engine data is exported from Automation. The export only fills out data up to the max rpm of the engine, which results in the horsepower/torque data instantly dropping to zero in BeamNG after that max rpm value. This creates the issue of not being able to tune the race ecu above the max rpm of the engine because BeamNG doesn't have any more data to look at to produce the horsepower/torque chart. Tuning the race ecu below the engine's max rpm should still work, but if it doesn't that will be something I need to look into more.

- 5/5,
Awesome mod! 1 request. Do you think you could add the barra to the d series? I think it would be sweet to have that monster of a 6 cylinder in that truck.
-
Author's Response
The Barra 182, 190, 195, and 245T are already available for the D-Series. Those 4 engine variants where used in the Australian Ford Territory and I created preset configs for the Roamer. Since the Roamer and D-Series share engine files, those engines are available for the D-Series also. If you want I can add to the D-Series/Roamer the rest of the Barra I6 variants from the Falcons.

-
Author's Response
I'm sorry, but I only add engines manufactured/designed by Ford or engines used in Ford vehicles. If the Volvo S60/V60 uses a Ford engine, I would add it. But since it's not a Ford vehicle, I won't go out of my way to research it unless a Ford engine family is directly specified. If you want to DM me with more information, I would be happy to consider.

good mod! very good quality and good information only complaint is that some of the engines are way to quiet like one of the inline 3 configs on the covet on that config you can only hear the turbo if you could fix the sounds this would be a 100 out of 10 mod
-
Author's Response
Thanks for letting me know about the sound issue. I'll make sure to get that fixed in the next update. I appreciate the review.

- 5/5,
Hey! love this mod and the variety of engines and sounds it offers. I just have a few questions for you though. I notice that after downloading this mod, a lot of new vehicles separate from the vanilla vehicles like the D-series show up in the vehicle configurator. they all have names like "GT" "Ford Bronco" Or "Crown Vic" and do not have thumbnails. upon clicking them, a few configurations show up with screenshots of real ford car mods on grid map, like the 2017 Ford GT or the Ford Bronco from 79' but upon clicking them, they don't work. what's the reason for these?
also, why do the car sounds sound similar to and/or use vanilla sounds (even though they all sound differently modified in their own way for each engine) and do you ever plan to replace them with the real sounds?-
Author's Response
Thanks for enjoying my mod. You do have some excellent questions.
The Ford vehicles you mentioned are vehicle mods (see the Excel spreadsheet I’ve linked in the main description for more details) I’ve added my engines and preset configs to. The reason why they would show as a blank thumbnail and don’t load when selecting them is because you don’t have those vehicle mods installed on your device. Those extra vehicle mods aren’t required to be installed for my mod to work with vanilla vehicles, though.
As for the sounds, I don’t use any vanilla sounds. I’m currently using the sounds that are exported from Automation when I make an engine. However, I do agree with you that they sound very similar to vanilla engine sounds. I think the reason for that is that Automation and BeamNG use different techniques/structures for producing sound within their games. When I make the engines in Automation, they sound a lot more realistic and variant, however, when exported to BeamNG, they seem to lose the majority of that. I have considered trying to find engine sounds from other games (ex. Forza Horizon 4), but I couldn’t really find anything that would work with BeamNG formatting, plus those sounds are behind copyright laws so if I could find some, it would have to be on a pirated/sketchy resource. And for recording real-life engines myself; I don’t have the resources or time to do so.
Sorry for the long response, but I hope that answers your questions.

Great mod. Also a little suggestion :)
As you've already done 1.0 ecoboost, what about i3 1.5 ecoobost (Fiesta ST and Puma ST)?
Would be great to see it as a content of your mod :)-
Author's Response
I actually plan to redo the 1.0 I3 EcoBoost since currently there's only one variant and preset config in the mod. I'll make sure to add the 1.5 I3 EcoBoost too.
