Thanks for the review! A hybrid turbo consists of parts from an aftermarket turbocharger inside of an OEM/stock location turbocharger. Its essentially just an internally improved stock turbo. Real companys like TTE and Pureturbos are known for building these types of turbo in the BMW, Porsche, VW, and Audi aftermarkets and HMT follows the same ethos that they use, in taking the stock turbo as a basis and improving upon it. Hope that explains it :)

CEL is a feature of the Pure turbo kits, The installation of a Pure turbocharger will cause a CEL due to the catless downpipes, however the Pure ECUs, that are designed for and required for the kit, will cancel it out. If you have correctly installed both parts, you should be CEL free. (If you are referring to the cypher, I explained it in a reply you know where.)

In the meantime, stacking the DS9 piggyback on the vanilla ttsport 500 stage 2 ECU should put you around 634bhp before the +2psi from the enhanced ttsport drivemodes. Not quite as optimized as the Pure790 kit but that should yield the power you're looking for. You Can also use the variable boost by gear option to pull some power out on the Pure790 ECU

HMT Pure 790 kit for the I6 can hit mid 800s when combined with straight pipe, tt-sport enhanced drivemode, and with an easy to find easter egg related to the Pure790 ECU :)

In my mind, Rennspecht sorta fills the shoes of companies like Alpina or Brabus. HMT is more along the lines of a company like Burger Motorsports, MHD or maybe Dinan. Also facelift parts are outside of my wheelhouse at the moment but as I improve with blender that may change.
