After playing with the new vehicles in BeamNG's recent update, I figured out everything wrong with the Sand Jumper and attempted to fix it. Here's what I've changed:
- Raised the engine's redline from 2,000RPM to 3,000RPM
- Added a fifth gear
- Raised the top speed to 100mph
- Raised the suspension slightly
- Reworked the suspension - it is now a bit softer and much less bouncy
- Re-balanced the weight - the front now has 55% of the weight instead of 65%
- Slightly lowered the engine's idle volume
Also of note in this version is that a few things were added to Automation's exporter that weren't there when I first made this vehicle, which means even more tuning potential. The Johnson Valley dunes are a great place to play with the tuning. As usual, I suggest lowering the tire pressure and stiffness as far as they'll go.
