Interior camera and custom parts for all Automation cars 1.0

Automation’s devs cannot add a real interior camera to exported cars? Fine, I will do it myself.

Please, read the description if you want to make this mod works properly!
Big thanks to @Halcyon80, who tested this mod on one of his cars!

As you can see in this video, this mod will give you the ability to use a interior camera on every single Automation car. Moreover, this mod will also give you the ability to choose between 22 transmissions, 6 drivetrains, 4 superchargers, 4 twin-turbos, and you will also have the possibility to add a customizable N2O system to your car!

Change that needs to be done in the options of your game:
    • Go in the ‘’user interface’’ option, and select the following case:

For all the following steps, you will have to save your configuration after each important modification if you want to keep them (you can overwrite an existing configuration):

    1) Installation of the camera in the car of your choice:
    • Easy way: Replace the horn of your car with the camera. However, your car will not have a horn anymore.
    • Propper way: Install a custom gearbox of the same type as the one your car is supposed to have. The camera will be installed by default with the customs gearboxes. However, the gearbox will not be optimized for your car, so you will maybe have to setup it properly.
    • Moreover, by using a custom transmission, you will unlock the access to different types of drivetrain, superchargers, twin-turbos and a N2O system.

    2) Position adjustment of the camera:
    • You will need to indicate to the game where the camera needs to be. Don’t worry, it’s extremely simple to do!
    • In the tuning menu of your car, you simply have to edit the values of each axis until the camera is positioned correctly. You will need to click on ‘’Apply’’ after each modification to see the result of the modification.
    • -->

    3) Custom gearboxes setup (optional):
    • If the gearbox ratios are not good for your car, you can adjust them in the tuning menu of your car.
    • If you have access to the Automation game, you can use it to determine the correct gear ratios for the car.
    • -->

    4) If you want to release a car which uses this mod:
    • Feel free to do it!
    • People who download your car will need to have this mod too, so you will have to add a link to it, or at least an advertisement, in your mod description.
    • Easy way: in the description of your mod, give the values of X, Y and Z of the camera
    • Proper way: add your custom configuration to your mod. You can follow this tutorial.

It’s not something I usually ask, but, if just like me, you think this 27ko mod bring something extremely important to Automation cars, share it! It would be greatly appreciated, and I truly think a lot of people are waiting for this new possibility! :)

I've got to agree with the other reviewer, you are a Legend, if not a god for even doing all this. I hope to be back on beamNG soon, but in the meantime It's great to see the community is quite alive with such quality mods for Automation!!

Pretty helpful mod (saves a lot of time)
Will it be possible (and if possible, how difficult it will be) to add the following
    1) Supercharger settings tune
    2) Electric engines either standalone, or as a hybrid
    3) Full slick/drag tyres
    4) Drag suspension (powerglide or multi-disk clutch)
    5) Setting turbo's boost level over 43.5 PSI (stock automation limit)
    6) Tune the ammount of downforce on the front/rear to get more grip and cornering G's (like fillman86 did)

Thanks for the review and the suggestions! :)

Sadly, the points 3 and 6 are extremely specific. Each car has different tyres and aero properties. It's not virtually impossible, but it will be extremely hard to add such options to this mod, and, most likely, they will also be hard to setup correctly for the users of this mod... I will see what I can do

For the 4, I have planned to add different custom coilovers and sway bars, but I don't know if it's possible to change the whole suspension type

For the 2, I have planned to add electric engines with adapted gearboxes in the next update. And, maybe, I will be able to find a way to have an hybrid option too :)

For the 1 and 5, I didn't think about that, but it's extremely easy to do, so you can expect that for the next update! :P

Really good mod, but cars seem to have some issue with top speed other than that works like a charm

      Hi, thanks for the review!

The top speed modification is perfectly normal, and easy to solve! Since you are using a different gearbox, the final drive ratio is not the same as the one of the stock car. In some cases, it will increase the top speed, and, in other cases, it will lower it. To fix that, you simply have to go in the tuning menu of the car, and change the final drive ratio ;)

Makes everything SOOO much easier. Now it takes a few minutes to do something that usually could take hours XD.

That's the point, it took me as much time to do this mod than to do comparable modifications on one single car XD
