The Windrunner is a sedan that came in its seventh iteration in 1991. The Japanese domestic market was ripping through the bubble asset price; many automakers were trying to use same platforms for different vehicles in order to catch as many customers as possible.
Keiso (known as Seiko Auto Inc. in some countries) chose instead to keep the tradition of the unique platform for the Windrunner, flagship car of the company. The wheelbase is around 3m and the exterior dimensions are quite generous.
The engine is a 4.0 V8, 32-valves with VVT mounted longitudinally and coupled to a 4-speed advanced automatic gearbox. The traction is on the rear wheels.
The RE trim level comes with ESC, alloy wheels, headlight wipers and unique chromed trims all over the car.
The front suspension is a MacPherson system, while the rear uses an innovative Multi-Link.

It even has the housing for the fender-mounted side mirrors!

In 1994 the Windrunner received a facelift: sales were low due to its design, considered as too distant from the previous generation.
Gone was its peculiar unified tail-light and the front grille, replaced by a more ordinary tail-light and a less-chromed grille.
In 1996 it has been replaced by the new generation of Windrunner.
