Beta Klutch Kickers 0.95

Drift track

So this is my first mod for Beam, entirely done in blender just used game editor for terrain, I hope you like it!

After watching Taylor Ray on YT drifting in his V8 Miata on that track I thought that's a cool little project to make for BeamNG so here it is.

Any feedback is more than welcomed if people don't like the ''feature'' of loosing tires on broken tarmac that is placed on some sides of the track I will just delete collisions with that object - up to you! Personally it is a bit frustrating but also realistic.

I don't know why, but I feel it way too grippy comparing to the normal asphalt on other maps. But I like it man, keep it up!

TBH it feels less grippy to me than other maps. I don't know why, used both Asphalt and Surface_Asphalt for mesh material settings

Good effort for a first mod, and I like the use of mesh road. Unfortunately the whole track is about 25% too small: measuring the inner diameter of the central skid ring on Google Maps gives me 34m, while in the mod it's only 27m.

That might be the case as pics on google maps are outdated and don't include the layout so I measure width of the road and matched it with a drone pic they provided on their website, That's something to keep in mind for the next update, thanks!

I personally have 120fps on 3 monitors but check out after this 1.1 update, colmeshes added to tirewalls and deleted collisions with broken tarmac outside the track

the map is great but the black dot things on the edge of the track are very grabby

Fun map to drive seems way smaller then the real life track tho. And when ever you dip a wheel off it pops

Really fun to drive! One issue though, not sure how you'd fix, the edges of the road are a bit grabby, and tend to pop tires.

Awesome as a first map!!! Could you make maybe a tutorial video, how to make a map in Blender for BeamNG? That would be very helpfull :)

      Author's Response
I'm not the right person to do a tutorial as this map is actually an example how not to do a map for BeamNG. Search in Google for "map in a month BeamNG" that tutorial is covering a lot of stuff but thank you for the kind words!
