This map is meant to be the spiritual successor to my older map, Long Expressway, it tries to be more fun and implement more modern BeamNG features:
Lore
- ~31.8 km of straight Expressway, both dual and single carriageway. Of which 18km is 2-lane.
- 3 Landmasses, one is an island with a fully working gas/charging station. (It even has an Express lane!)
- 2 Bridges built up to real standards, with emergency lots every 1.6 km (~1 mi).
- Fully custom-made road signs, with poles designed after those used for real Italian road signs.
- Confusing unfixable AI Traffic quirks: AI goes way above the limit, turns around where it shouldn't and doesn't care about priority signs, all this without making your driving experience miserable. (I hope)
- Dangerous intersections that should not have stop signs, but do anyways.
The IJlandsberg (or Ejlandsmonto) bridges are two bridges connecting up two sides of a bay, completed in 1989, it serves as a major connection between the poorer, Esperanto-speaking side and the richer, Dutch speaking side of the country, initially it was meant to be a motorway, but due to fund-mismanagement from both sides the Esperanto side only managed to build a 2-lane road while the Dutch side only built a short section of dual carriageway up to Uitkijksfontein. The island of Ejlandsmonto used to be divided in half, but in 1997 it's 20 residents voted that it should be part of the Esperanto side as most residents were from there.
This map tries to be as efficient as possible, but due to the amount of vegetation and assets on the 3 landmasses it can get laggy on very low-end machines, as such, I give it an FPS friendlyness score of:
