Luuks Drafting Mod 1.7

The (as far as I know) first public drafting mod for BeamNG.Drive!

  2. v1.6: Proper singleplayer support

    v1.6 Changelog:
    - The mod now detects if it's running in singleplayer or in BeamMP. If it detects it's running in singleplayer, it does the drafting calculations for all cars, so you can use it in AI races now;

  5. v1.4: Improved multicar drafting to avoid overly strong drafting effects

    - Greatly improved drafting multiple cars to avoid an overly strong drafting effect.
    - Added a strength multiplier variable somewhere deep in the files, in case people really want to poke around with more extreme drafting :)

  6. Improved drafting angle calculation + fly-by wind effect

    Update v1.3:
    - Improved drafting angle calculation, which improves side-drafting as well.
    - Fly-by wind effect, based on velocity and angle difference. Drive past someone parked, and their car will somewhat realistically move in the wind!
  7. Hotfix for drafting multiple cars not working

    Hotfix patching some fairly big bugs:
    - Drafting multiple cars now behaves "correctly", although might still need strength tweaking based on diverging draft angles per car.
    - Cars that are just an orange ball no longer break the wind calculation, which is very nice for MP as it no longer spams your console.
    - Removed certain unneeded calculations for a nice performance benefit.
