After developing and experimenting with the new supercharged 3.0 6-cylinder boxer engine with turbocharging, Pochette wanted to create a super sports car worthy of its European competitors. The name "Spinner" is inspired by the motor it mounts, called "Spinne" (spider in German) due to the shape that resembles that of the arachnid. In terms of driving, the Spinner is extreme: changes of direction are very fast thanks to the high weight distribution on the rear, however it is necessary to keep the foot docile otherwise it is not difficult to lose control of the vehicle.

Nach der Entwicklung und dem Experimentieren mit dem neuen aufgeladenen 3.0-6-Zylinder-Boxermotor mit Turboaufladung wollte Pochette einen Supersportwagen schaffen, der seiner europäischen Konkurrenz würdig ist. Der Name „Spinner“ ist von dem Motor inspiriert, auf dem er montiert ist, der aufgrund seiner Form, die der von Spinnentieren ähnelt, „Spinne“ (zu Deutsch Spinne) genannt wird. Fahrtechnisch ist der Spinner extrem: Richtungswechsel gehen dank der hohen Gewichtsverteilung am Heck sehr schnell, allerdings muss man den Fuß gefügig halten, sonst ist es nicht schwer, die Kontrolle über das Fahrzeug zu verlieren.

Il nome "Spinner" è ispirato al motore che monta, denominato "Spinne" (ragno in tedesco) a causa della forma che ricorda quella dell'aracnide. A livello di guida la Spinner è estrema: i cambi di direzione sono molto veloci grazie alla elevata distribuzione del peso sul posteriore, tuttavia è necessario tenere docile il piede altrimenti non è difficile perdere il controllo del mezzo.
