Ultimately, the first release of this wasn't to have an excellent model. From what i believe it was to showcase what could be done with the dash and it is brilliant. The model can be updated as time goes. Great work! keep it up!

- 4/5,
Its a good car. The damage model needs some working though.
Cool that this is fully selfmade!-
Author's Response
Yeah, the cabin is a little too strong, and its side impact protection is too good. The roll cage makes it very much so.
Thanks :)

There won't be an auto option. I think I will add a DCT in the parts menu, but it won't have any of the 3d modelling to go with it.

There won't be an automatic version. As for number plates, check teh response below :)

I wasn't aware that this was a possibility. It is a UK designed car, as such it is designed to accommodate European plates.
I expect it shouldn't be too hard to add, so I will see if I can get it done when I have some spare time.

- 4/5,
i like this mod a lot i understand that it took you four years thats pretty cool but honestly the model is a bit on the lower quality side otherwise its amazing but it takes 4 seconds to reload the car every other car is instant also this mod is way better than i could do so

Author's Response
Thanks :) . To be fair, it wasn't 4 years of solid work. It was 4 years of doing a little bit maybe once or twice a week.
But I have spent probably in excess of 400 hours driving the car in total. For me I really wanted to get the driving dynamics to feel good, with responsive handling and a bit of playfulness. The goal was to make a car that can be driven on the edge of its performance without it punishing driver mistakes too harshly. Essentially the MX5 formula, but in a different package, with slightly more power.

Thanks, I'm quite happy with how much interior and boot space I was able to cram in, while still providing a luxury looking interior.

- 4/5,
I admit, it may not be the most beautiful mod and it is a little rough around the edges, however, everything else is incredibly well done. The jbeam is great and the usable interface on the dash is ground breaking stuff. As far as I know it has never been done before? Overall this car may not be beautiful, but it's features are amazing, and may hopefully be incorporated into future vehicles. Great job!

Author's Response
Thanks, the dashboard is fairly advanced compared to what is out there currently. Compared to what I have in the works for another vehicle though, its kinda rudimentary :p
Hopefully that car won't take so long xD

- 4/5,
Nice vehicle, Hope there would be an option to use metric gauges instead of the imperial ones, but otherwise good mod! Love to see different versions such as a convertible someday!
-
Author's Response
Yeah, I really should add Metric gauges into it. I'm not sure if there is a seamless way of doing it, will have to investigate further.
Stoked to hear that you like it :)

Just imagine if the devs did a 2018 Covet... That would be awesome. Could make for an interesting race series when the game reaches the point of supporting multi-car races.

- 4/5,
I would rate this 5 stars but man the 3d model is rough but holy shit is it well put together. The chassis is sorted and actually really communicative with a wheel. The jbeam is really well done too. No spikes and the deformation, while simple, is very realistic. It seems like you're definitely headed in the right direction!
-
Author's Response
Thanks :)
The chassis really is the mods saving grace. Especially the rally version, I'm really happy with how that variant goes. The Race version is more drift happy than a race car should be, but its kinda fun to mess with anyway :p

- 5/5,
You did a great job on gauge cluster/dashboard. Perfect.
However, crash simulation and the whole car model need some improvements.
Well done dude!-
Author's Response
I totally agree, and that is part of why I don't think it will ever be finished. Since it would probably be easier to start over in some regards than complete what is already here.
I have another car in the pipelines that will hopefully be a little higher quality when released, but its still quite a ways off of completion.
Thanks for the feedback :)

Thanks, it is based on the GPS systems from the official vehicles. But adjustments have been made to make it imo prettier, as well as adding a tilt to it so more can be seen ahead among other things.

It should have 6? It seems to be working in my copy, could you send me a PM with a screenshot of the parts configuration, specifically the engine, gearbox and drivetrain section.
Thanks :)
