Outdated Real Life Automation Engine Conversions 0.32

15 real based engines for 14 of the vanilla cars with sounds.

    I am making engines in Automation for BeamNG based of the real specs of the engines. Many more are on the way and for all appropriate vanilla vehicles.

    **WARNING**

    This will cause all engines that aren't in this mod to have no sound. I'm not sure yet on how to fix this but you can just deactivate this mod in the mod manager when you want to use normal engines. Sorry about this I will get it fixed asap.

    The curve data goes up in 100rpm increments so the curve is very smooth. I adjust the weight, inertia and friction settings to suit.

    Please make sure to choose the right engine and then the right turbo if you want to have the authentic fell, but feel free to mix and match at your pleasure.

    Some of the setups will overheat still I am working on optimizing it all, please feel free to let me know which ones are a problem for you.

    I have done individual sounds for most engines. Some very similar engines share sound files for the moment.

    There is a GSX-R gearbox included with the engine to suit better gearing.

    Known issue; Coupe and Mirimar catches fire, any help with this would be appreciated.

    I intend to add many more engines as they are requested.

    Feel free to modify the code to make them fit other cars.

    The mod removed sound for all vanilla vehicles, and even after removing the mod and verifying the game cache, they still don't have sound... I'd do 0 stars if I could

      Your doing it wrong. :S If your the only one having the problem then clearly there is a further issue. Please don't rate without asking for help. It states clearly in the last update that you have to deactivate the RLAEC mod in the mods screen of the menu. I have now put it on the overview as I guess I should have to start with. I have asked for help but no one has answered me. This is also clearly stated as alpha so I am sorry but it is available to you all so that we can work these bugs out. Please try this. Right click on the BeamNG folder that is in your My Documents folder, then click cut and then on the desktop, right click in a space and click paste. Load the game and see if that fixes your problem. Private message me if you need more help.

    very good mod, love the engines sounds, but a downside is that it breaks the default engine sound

      Thanks for your rating. Yes it is far from finished and at this point I am stuck with the vanilla sounds breaking and the lack of engine models, I am not experienced with these sectors so at this point I need help with it. I hopefully will get it working soon but at the moment the devs are helping me with a different project that has some issues. Sorry for the delay.

    Excellent mod! This is what BeamNG really needed. Classic muscle car sounds are great. Would it be possible for you to add something like the 13B-MSP Renesis engine to the list? It has a beautiful sound (especially when supercharged).

    This is a very good idea and concept, but for some odd reason, they wouldn't quite work for me. I don't know why, but they would always, and I mean every time, catch on fire whether I crash or not. I love every engine in this mod and the sounds are decent. But they are unstable and susceptible to spontaneous combustion. Keep up the good work. I'm sure you will find a way to fix this issue.

    Cool mod, but some cars with some engines won't change gear, suach as the 4.1l 250 i6 in the 200bx gets stuck in 2nd gear.

    I like the concept, also you can get good engine models/sounds from Street Legal Racing: Redline mods like the Mopar and Gm v8 packs (I'd love to see a 426 HEMI or a 500 big block). If you need help extracting the models, I can send them to you as a .DAE. Like the direction this is going, hope to see more engines soon! PS, this mod breaks the default engine sound.

      Thanks for your review. Yea they suck but they function there is 5-7 seperate sound effects that change as it goes up the rev scale. I just need a better sampling source. Need to crack Automation's sound banks.

    Great Mod. I find it kinda funny that the engines catch fire :D. Could you make a trabant engine XD.

      Thanks for your review. Yes Trabant engine is fine to add. Yea the fire seems to be caused by the exhaust manifold of the engine colliding with something. Sadly I do not know how to fix this yet and I have very little time to do anything at the moment.
