The SKY Patriot Dragster has 1524 horsepower and only weighs 1180 kilograms. To put that into perspective:

Why? Why not.
It's powered by an all-American cast iron 7.3 liter triple DCOE carburetted twin turbo pushrod 16V boxer-6, longitudinally mounted behind the rear axle. The whole vehicle has a standing weight distribution of 66% over the rear axle, giving you better grip for the fat rear drag wheels equipped with semi-slicks driven through a 5-speed drag automatic transmission and a geared limited slip diff.
The front end is designed to somewhat resemble a generic coupe. A bit of exposed carbon fibre monocoque resembles a front grille.
The rear end, however, is an elongated, deformed, bulging mass designed to house the massive engine and huge rear tires.
