    Version: 2.0 ENGINE UPDATE
The engine update is awesome, only two things I wish for:
    1. adjustible redline - I want 10K RPM diesel!
    2. allow engines to have over 10K rpm redlines and powerbands - basically to benefit #1.
otherwise one of the best mods in the history of BeamNG, don't know how I enjoyed BeamNG without it.

      Author's Response
The redline itself IS adjustable - basically, you take the peak RPM you had set and the RPM limit, and the smaller of these values is the redline, you can see it on the tachometer. It can be confusing but it works. It's just not too good with diesel due to transmission shift points, something I don't know how to edit yet. And over 10k RPM I thought would be too ridiculous, you can already make a 1000+ hp NA engine now and when you add some mod intake and nitrous you can get 4000+ hp easily. I can try making the limit 15000 RPM but it could make precise scaling more difficult.

    Version: 2.0 ENGINE UPDATE
Pros: This is one of the most versatile and fun mods made for this game. You can make a floppy dildo bus, give your car a weight reduction, give your car a weight appreciation, reduce the (static) friction on a race car to make it drive like an arcade racing game from the 00s (like Hot Pursuit2 or GTA4).
If you thought the indestructible mod was great this mod does that and more.

Cons: I wish I knew how the dampening worked (I can get it to work for me but I don't get it exactly), The static friction adjustment on the tires is fun to adjust but adjusting it to much can make the tires feel incomplete because you cant change the sliding friction (though it can make for interesting experiments).

With the customizable engine you can do anything you want.

      Author's Response
Thanks for the long review! Yes I have tried with sliding friction but unlike static friction it can't be scaled like this. You would have to overwrite it which would mess up the wheels on any car you used the mod on unless you knew what the default value was. And damping doesn't do much on its own but it's extremely useful combined with other values, it can prevent instabilities or make the car less shaky after you edit something else.

    Version: 2.0 ENGINE UPDATE
Works great, does exactly what it says it does! Only thing, I REALLY wish you could make manual clutches indestructible or not, same with brakes.
    1. Agent_Y
      Author's Response
I tried with brakes, but for some reason whatever I do they instantly become immune to fading and it can't be changed back. I can't release a mod that instantly breaks brakes of all cars. And I can't find any values regarding clutches, and I can't test it as I always use arcade gearbox anyway. But the ideas are good.

I think something to adjust the heat resistance of the brakes and stuff would be good, as I love being on fire after hard braking
    1. Agent_Y
      Author's Response
I tried, it's not possible to do it with the way the mod is set up. But you can try the global heat resistance and fire rate, maybe that will work.

Fantastic. pls make an update where it can engage or disengage the fuel going to the engine if its possible.

      Author's Response
I'm not sure why you would need that, but an update I'm working on lets you change the engine efficiency which affects how much fuel it burns

It works for everyone else, you might be using it on mods that don't support it or you might have a conflicting mod

will the scaling options ever be more stable
    1. Agent_Y
      Author's Response
I tried, they are as stable as they can get, they rely on precompression which generates extreme forces, otherwise I would have to make completely new Jbeams for every vehicle and make each one a single 3D model which would also mean they wouldn't even move as wheels wouldn't rotate.
