  1. Finally, brake swaps and adjustable brake values!

    Agent_Y
So I finally added a working system of brake swaps and asjustable brake values. It was not easy, and there are reasons why brakes are not universal by default (most race/hillcilmb cars use identical brakes but they are added separately for each car for those reasons), so the system is quite weird. You have to keep in mind that:
    • My brakes behave weird visually, the calipers rotate with the wheels, the offset can be weird, some of the brakes (including all of the drum ones) are invisible, etc. You can use the invisible brakes and keep your normal ones, then they will still be there visually but will behave like the swapped ones, but if you want different looking brakes then you have to accept the weird behavior of them.
    • They can only be used in the wheel hubs swap slot, so you can't have new brakes with your original hubs (swapping for example 5 lug to 4 lug and back to 5 lug won't work). There is no way around it and there is absolutely nothing I can do.
    • Air brakes don't work well on light vehicles, they have too much torque so they break themselves and overheat all the time. I know having air brakes on normal cars was the main reason why most people wanted the brake swaps but they are just too powerful and don't work well at all.
Now let's talk about the usage of the brake swaps. They are separate for the front and the rear. As I said you equip them in the brake swaps menu, along with the brake pads, and you can either keep or remove your normal brakes:

Customizable brakes give you the same options on the front and the rear:

Rotors can be alluminum, ceramic or steel. Type is drum, disc or vented disc. Discs can be plain, solid, slotted or drilled, this is only visual.

Customizable brakes give you some tuning options:

Note that the diameter affects them both visually and physically. Also setting the torque too high isn't good for light vehicles.

This update also adds visual models for the wheel hub swaps. There will be visible hub swaps for 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug, heavy duty 8-lug and heavy duty 10-lug swaps. Additionally some of the hub swaps have a "deep" version, it just looks better with some vehicle-wheel combination and doesn't change anything physically. Honestly I only added it so this looks better:

That's all for the update, as always enjoy and report any bugs you find!
