  1. Update for BeamNG 0.24, experimental engine parts!

    Agent_Y
This small update adds some stuff that was introduced in BeamNG 0.24.
First thing is radiator sounds that you can customise in sound editor (not all cars have these sounds by default yet):
    radiatorsound.png
The second is some more turbo sound tuning options (I forgot which ones are old and which new lol):
    turbosounds1.png
And also previously I forgot to add flutter samples, they are here now:
    turbosounds2.png
I also merged my no lug wheel hubs with the vanilla center lug ones so now you can do this:
    centerlug.png
And also you can use the center lug race wheels on all cars.

This is not all in this update, there are also things that I worked on before, such as an experimental engine:
    experimental_engine.png
It's basically a highly customizable engine that adds a lot of options to edit, including really unrealistic ones!
    experimental_settings.png
These are the settings you normally have in your tuning tab, except now you can set the range of them. For most of these settings, you can choose:
    • Realistic
    • Negative
    • Unrealistically high
    • Unrealistically low
    • Unrealistically high negative
    • Unrealistically low negative
They all give weird results. For example, negative durability makes the engine indestructible, negative efficiency will GENERATE fuel and nitrous oxide instead of burning it (and unrealistically low negative will do that extremely fast which will make your fuel tank super heavy quickly), negative engine brake and friction will rev the engine by itself but too high will make it explode (or implode)... And there are also torque curve settings for unrealistically high torque or RPM, or both.

Of course I also added experimental intakes...
    experimental_intakes.png
They both give you many options to easily reach TRILLIONS OF HORSEPOWER without much effort.
    customizable_sc_turbo.png
Note that they can also be used as realistic intakes but with more customisation. For example, the supercharger has boost controller and clutch settings available, as well as several different types of superchargers: roots, screws and centrifugal. You can change the amount of lobes too and select twisted lobes if you want. This kind of stuff affects the supercharger behavior a lot, but it's hard to explain exactly if you are not an engine expert, it changes the "pulsation" effect that you can see on the boost gauge. And on the turbo, you can remove the blowoff valve and see how that will affect your current settings.

There are also some quality of life changes. For example, the engine swap menu is also available in a sub-slot of license plate now for cars that have no nitrous ooption (note that you have to remove the normal engine to use it, the new one is invisible and unbreakable, and it won't work on all cars!!):
    engine_swap_alt_slot.png
If we are already here, you can see some new slots in the license plate menu:
    • Literally indestructible mode is for EXTREME situations when 100x stronger car is not strong enough, you should use it with care as it can cause instabilities easily!
    • Aerodynamics override is basically 2 new sliders that scale the aero, for some reason they don't want to work in the normal slot so I put them here instead
      aero_edit.png
    • And the alternative engine also has some other options than just engine swap:
      alt_engine.png
The true electric motor lets you add a real electric motor to the car rather than an engine that pretends to be a motor. It can recharge and drive underwater and upside down and stuff. It has some options for customisation:
    true_emotor.png
You can add a transfer case here that you had to remove earlier with original engine, and there's the fuel customisation slot that lets you add the electric battery that you will need for the motor. And also sound editor because by default you have a V8 sound on electric motor which makes no sense.
There are many types of electric motors to choose, each one in single and dual variant:
    • Cannon motor
    • eSBR normal and performance motor
    • FCV motor
    • Roller motor
    • Spinner motor
And there is also a fully customisable motor that you can tune like the customisable engine but with some different options:
    motor_tuning.png
Note that you can set a MUCH higher max RPM than with an engine, which is realistic! There are also some settings related to speed limiters and energy regeneration.
Of course you also have the torque curve editor, with a bigger RPM range:
    toorquecurve_emotor.png
Now you might have noticed one more thing... Experimental electric servos. I think I am the first one to make a servo-powered car, there is a servo D-Series config included, and its description shows how to use it because it's not easy:

"HOW TO USE: To start the truck, open console (` key), on the bottom left corner in dropdown menu select \"BeamNG - Current Vehicle ....\", then write this in text field at the bottom: powertrain.getDevice(\"servoFL\"):setTargetAngle(-10000); powertrain.getDevice(\"servoFR\"):setTargetAngle(10000); powertrain.getDevice(\"servoRL\"):setTargetAngle(-10000); powertrain.getDevice(\"servoRR\"):setTargetAngle(10000) then press enter and close console with the same key. You can change the numbers for lower or higher angles (shorter or longer driving time), but remember than the left ones need NEGATIVE angle because they rotate in the other direction. To stop the truck, look on the bottom right corner of the screen, and click on the shaft icons to disconect them, then wait until it stops (brakes don't work!!). You can customize various properties of the servos in the Tuning tab."

As you can see it's just a weird proof of concept that is hard to use, you can mess around with some of its tuning settings:
    servo.png

Aside from the servo truck I added 2 more absolutely ridiculous configs, a 1.5 trillion horsepower Moonhawk (yes it really has so much power, check for yourself how it "drives") and a land speed record attempt SBR4 that can go 3000 km/h and then breaks the game lol.

Idk what else to say, enjoy the mod, idk what else I can add to it, maybe I'll make the speed record car faster or something.
