Venus 1.0

25 square miles of large rocky dunes on Venus.

This map is not being worked on anymore, It is open source so feel free to download it, mod it how you like, and publish it on the repo.
V1.0: Added a rocky rally course. I still don’t want to add a ton of rocks around the entire map yet since it is fun to fly around the entire map at 100+mph and I don’t want to take away from that.
I found it strange that there were no other planet mods that I could find so I made one.
This map is 25 square miles and is much cooler than the actual temperature of Venus. Venus usually has an average temperature of 900F (475C), but that was way too hot for the cars to run for more than 10 seconds so I lowered the temperature to a casual 300F (150C) in the late afternoon and -373F (-225C) around midnight; which really tests how durable cars are in the heat.
This is my first mod and I had a rough time setting it up but its here and updates will come soon to make the terrain less bland. Planned updates include rock crawling courses, dangerous connector roads, a drag strip, a race track, and a drift course.
If you have any suggestions let me know, this map is huge.

This is such a great map concept and I can't wait for it to be developed further.

Maybe you could add in a landing base for travel to and from Earth, but what would also be amazing would be a town on the surface. With all the amenities of course, a residential area, shopping centre with cinema, medical facilities, emergency services and most importantly a pub.

I have one question about Venus gravity. Do I need to turn it on from the environment menu or is it already set when you load the map?

    Many thanks!!

Interesting Idea, although I will try to keep it realistic. Adding a city on the surface wouldn't exactly be a good idea though because of harmful gasses, radiation, and temperature. Although adding a city underground would be a cheap and effective way to keep the temperature down, block radiation, and for the most part keep harmful gasses out using the "future technology" excuse. I happen to have a large hole at the edge of the map so that will work good. I'll also add in a dirt runway for incoming spacecraft as close as I can get it to the city. I'm going to ty to keep the area as underdeveloped as possible so It seems like only a few years in the future and I don't have to worry about making it futuristic.

Awesome map. I would like to see some Time Trials added to it in the future, especially if you add the otherareas to it.

The fog and cloud coverage is awesome! This is a great map to just mess around and test a cars temperature limits! Also the dunes and hills are just perfection.
