Hi! This mod is awesome and upmost realistic. I have a question, though. Is it normal for the engine to kick in around 60-80mph instead of from a stop? I understand that it was intended to be an electric-based hybrid system. Is there any way to let the engine power the wheels sooner than high speeds?

i-DM Hybrid System is designed to have higher fuel efficiency. That's why the combustion engine only powers the wheels at high speed.
In traditional vehicles, the combustion engine operates in inefficient range at low speeds, resulting in higher fuel consumption.
i-DM Hybrid vehicle operates in series hybrid mode at low speeds. The combustion engine drives the generator to produce electricity rather than directly driving the wheels, allowing the combustion engine to remain within its efficient operating range. The wheels are driven by the electric motor, resulting in higher overall efficiency.
At high speed, the efficiency of electric motors decreases, but the combustion engine is in its efficient range. i-DM hybrid system switches to parallel hybrid mode to maintain overall efficiency and achieve fuel savings.

Would be five if we could tune how aggressive the brake regen is. The car is almost undriveable on track due to brake regen still being activated on the unloaded wheel, resulting in the wheel locking up on braking before a corner. Coupled with a TCS and ESC system confused by the lockup and it results in a car that is undriveable around Nordschleife. I suggest a regen algorithm that channels full brake regen to the front wheels only under heavy braking as they are the loaded wheels upon braking; or even a system that is linked to the g-meter (if that is even possible) so that it understands where the car's weight will be transferred under cornering.

Thanks for your review! The regen torque of rear motor appears to be too high, which will cause the rear wheels to lock up in some situations. I'll reduce it in the next version to avoid lock-up. Please update and check later this week!

Good mod, but I was just wondering if you could combine the REEV mod and the i-DM Hybrid mod because this can also do the exact same thing, but with one more feature...

i-DM Hybrid is totally different from REEV. REEV is series hybrid while i-DM is Series-Parallel. They may look similar in low speed or RE mode, but the architecture is quite different. I decide to put them in different mod to update different features.

this is an amazing mod, i love how the controller actually changes the behavior of the i-DM hybrid, with EV mode never turning the engine on, and RE only charging the hybrid battery (giving no assistance to the electric motor).

Heyy this is really cool and detailed, probably one of the best (if not the best) hybrid mods for beam!
I just cannot figure out how to properly use the different modes, SOC and Power Generator features but I might just as well be dumb.
If you could provide us with a bit more explanation here on the mod page on how everything works and how to properly use it that would be fantastic!
    Thanks!
