V6.0 brings many new features to the Wentward Transmission Pack! 3 new gearboxes from Voith and ZF, A complete Voith D864.5 Remaster, Updated sounds, a completely new engine for the Voith, and NBS (Neutral on Bus Stop) scripts

New Configurations
![]()
I have redone all the configurations in the vehicle selector. I made custom images, which shows the gearbox and final drive at a glance. I also fixed the descriptions to show what gearbox, engine, and what bus it is from. I also ran each configuration through the AutomatedTesting track, which generated performance data
New W3A Sounds + Tweaks
I have tweaked the Mercedes W3A gearbox. I have added new axle sounds, aswell as made the shifting slower, and adjusted the shifting RPMs aswell as the lag and response of the gearbox.
Thanks to Himan, who told me about this, and let me fix it!
New Voith D200 2spd Gearbox
In this update is a new 2 speed gearbox by Voith, the D200. It has a very worn out character, so the converter is very slippy, the clutch is very weak, the shifting times are excruciatingly slow, and it has a lot of lag to change gears and kickdown. I guess it's realistic for its time though, being from the very early 1980s
Complete Voith DiWA 864.5 Remaster
This wouldn't have been possible without Matthias from Poland e-mailing me and helping me through this, so thank you very much!
The Voith D864.5 has been completely remastered! The biggest changes have to be the torque converter, and the new engine, which has the Voith sounds in it (Finally a proper Voith sound!)
The converter in 1st gear is now very loose, like real life. When accelerating, the engine revs up and holds, and this depends on how much throttle you use. When doing a kickdown, the engine will basically red-line, which is what I've referenced from our MAN 19.320s with a Voith.
There is also a completely new engine for the Voith. If any of you remember the old Voith engine, and you know how I removed it, this is why! Basically though, I recorded the sounds of the TCM from the game, put them into FL Studio, added the Voith sounds, and rendered them as their own files, which is what is now used.
(This doesn't sound like much, be remember that BeamNG sounds aren't open to edit, so I had to create a ramp, and record each engine sound, on and off load, by modulating the brake and accelerator, which was very tedious and took forever)
NBS (Neutral at bus stop) For Voith D864.5, ZF 6HP-604, ZF 6HP-592/C, and ZF Ecolife
I have created a small lua script, which will shift the gear into neutral when stopped. This is a common feature in real life, and you can hear in in the ZF Ecomat, as you will hear a whine when it is active.
NBS In the Voith activates at 15KMH if you are not accelerating. When you do accelerate, it automatically shifts back into drive.
NBS for the ZF's activate 2 seconds after you stop, or 0KMH, which is what I've seen with our MAN 18.310s with ZF 604/Cs. Like the Voith, it will also shift back into drive when accelerating
Allison T-310 New Sounds
I have also slightly redone the sounds for the Allison T-310. I have removed the gear whine in 3rd and onward gears, aswell as added a new axle sound, which is what I have heard from our BCI Citiriders
New ZF Ecomat 4HP-590
Thanks to nico, who contacted me on Discord, for suggesting this gearbox to be added
The ZF Ecomat 4HP-590 is a mix of two gearboxes. It has the longer gear ratios of the 500-series gearboxes, but the same programming as the newer 604/C and others, as it will lock up in 1st gear
Currently, it shares the sound with the 502/C, as that's what sounded similar, but the axle sound is custom, and it is very loud, just like the reference I was sent
New ZF Ecomat 6HP-592/C
Finally, the last addition to this update, the ZF Ecomat 6HP-592/C. Thanks to @HackleFlyer on YouTube for suggesting this one.
This is very similar to the 6HP-604/C, but has different sounds. The same programming, torque converter logic, and shift point as the 604/C, but a different sound. The hubs on this one are loud too, as that's what I saw in the reference video
Internal updates - Code cleanup, folder organization etc
I have also cleaned up the internal folder structure aswell as the slot names in the jbeam. Every gearbox is in its own .jbeam file, which is then put into a folder with the manufacturer. Converters and common parts that are shared are in their own .jbeam file.
This shouldn't affect many people, as this was just a change for making it easier for me to develop the mod
Thanks for reading, and thank you for your patience with V6.0!
Happy driving!
